Seriously... everyone

That game is misleading... i know were craving something...

But lets see how we fare next week against a side not killing it either...They beat StKilda by more

I'm with you Synbad.....at least he offers a building block....and sure next week is a more challenging test

Unfair not too acknowledge that no other Carlton player (not named Judd, Kouta or Murphy) has had 23 CPs in a game......all from a 6 year player.

If he puts in next week and offers glimpses I'm happy. If Judd doesn't play he might even find himself tagged

I saw Boeky blowing up in time on of the first. I like what i saw of him up til that point.
How long until he gets a tank? 1 or 2 more pre season?

One I reckon, if he plays 10 games in the top side this year.
I'll give Mick some credit here. It would have been very tempting to play him as sub.

No point BB playing as a sub because they need to build his tank. Sub doesn't improve his fitness and playing magoos takes a much lower level.

oh and their team was 2 years younger than ours.

to put thata into perspective..

2 years x 22 games is 44 games across each player on average...

then multiply that x 22 players....

thats just a rough indicator...

There is a saying in sales and it aplies to all things... "its not about making a sale.. its about the next sale and the sale after that...."

but yeah were finally here......

crap....

Who's saying we're here?

There's been nothing good coming out of the club for ages and finally a little ray of light comes along in the form of a kid playing his sixth game VERY well and you want to blow it out.

Has it fixed the club's problems?

Of course not.

But why not enjoy a kid's good moment for once instead of having to shit on everything?

I don't think there are too many of us who don't think the club's a complete mess but that doesn't have to stop you from enjoying something good.

You should try it some time.

It doesn't fix everything but when you've had the taste of shit in your mouth for this long sometimes it's okay to have a lolly.

You can have your shit back next week.

either we play boek as a sub but that wont improve him as a footballer

he needs to play ressies to get a full 100 minutes at hard going work each week.... or he wont hack it...

Buckley gives us a certain energy. Makes mistakes but has dash. If Byrne can add to that there will be less pressure on Yaz which will free him to go nuts.

Yeah but take 2 of our oldies out of today's team, carrazzo, and Jameson, who are both battling big time, what does that do to the averages. Certainly wouldn't affect our performance if those two were moved on. Jamo is a shadow of his best self.

oh ok....

We are now in StKilda territory...

I don't see too many getting over excited, just excited by a couple of younger guys. Young guys playing well against an opposition also with young guys.

Got it.....we are a long way back. Sitting in a hotel room in Shanghai, it was about 20 minutes into the 2nd qtr I was digesting how bad things had become.

I don't care about the win. I do care that we see signs from the guys we have brought in the last 2-3 years. At least today we got that in the main. None of them are perfect (Cripps, Buckley, bell, Henderson, Docherty and Everett)......

At half time - as the game of football was crashing down around my little world - all i asked the walls for was endeavour.......and from those guys above we got it. (Plus special mention to Murphy who got hold of the ball)

agree.. all u can take out of that game is some encouragement .. nothing more..

the fact stkildas younger kids didnt have older bodies around them tires them out much faster as they need to take the brunt...

they just couldnt go with us in the second half...

thats what happens when u have so many kids in their first 2 pre seasons and bodies out there at the one time

we had many more hardened footballers and bodies...spreading the work load.. body and legs as well as mind and calmness

its a fine line...

Like last week.. their players with younger bodies legs and minds ran out of steam...

Especially on a small ground where the work is much more physical....

The G will sort us out. Then again it's all upside - as long as we show endeavour.

If only we had more cattle to bring in from the ressies.....play the new guys.

Other than KJ and possibly Menzel the potential it is what it is.

We're not very good.
We're not going to get better quickly.
That wasn't an impressive win.

Sometimes you can just enjoy it though.

Three players from last year the seem to have really dropped off
Rowe - lost all form.
Curnow - Massive drop off in form
Jamison - Looks to be aging fast

Can only live in hope that some confidence can get them back on their toes.

Carrazzo is done.
