We shouldn't kid ourselves, while there's light at the end of the tunnel we are not very good right now. The Bullies aren't much cop, if we'd used the ball better in the second quarter we could have won, and that's an indictment of the Bullies

I watched Bulldogs v Saints game on telly last week, one of the worst games I've seen for some time, Bullies just hung on. Same again this week, we just weren't good enough in the last to win the ball back and close the deal. If Yarran had hit up a team mate rather than an opponent coming out of defence....

Ah well, glass half full, more games into the kids, finding out who can and can't play. Hope Cripps and Everitt come up.

Application good. Talent level too low. More frustration like this to follow until we get more talent.
Curnow butchered it tonight. Forwards butchered it tonight.
I am now prepared to do the right trade for Yazz.
Two down in last quarter didn't help.

Curnow butchers it every week, never seen a bloke fumble so much. Hands of stone. Maybe needs some contacts

Poor conversion saps confidence

Big Casboult sapped us of confidence at important times. We need to replace him with a better tall forward.

Overall that wasnt too bad a performance from the lineup we had.

Casboult isn't the problem.
He missed that one from the point line.
he dropped one mark he would usually take.
He kicked one of our six goals.
In the second hlf, the ball went into the F50 eleven or twelve times up to the last minute and a half.
Bit hard to do much when the game is being played in one half of the ground.

He still has less than fifty games IIR.or maybe just fifty. If you want to criticize anybody, look at Murphy, who had a shocker. Look at the midfielders who got thrashed in the clearances for three quarters of footy.

Casboult is still our leading goalkicker for the year and you want to replace him. Put someone next to him instead who can kick goals. Give him some crumbers. Do whatever but we didn't lose tonight because of him. We lost because the team we put on the park was collectively flat for three quarters and coouldn't capitalize when they had the running. Like Collingwood.

Murphy was truely terrible again.

Commentators questioned why we would have one of our best in Murphy on the bench with 6 mins to go. But he was worthless tonight.

Can't underestimate the loss of Sheehan and Byrne.
Those 2 play and you've got 2E and Yarran freed up.
No need to play Boekhurst,Tutt,Wiley.
Reckon Holman is worth persisting with.

Cripps injured , Murph tagged , the rest were kids.

Some serious overreacting tonight.

Early doors on Boek and Whiley - Tutt wont make it, Johnson will struggle.

Early doors my a@@@. Again l repeat the pick 7 to 19 - 3 for 1 deal is looking like a bust.

BB is a Kane Lucas reincarnate. Spooked.

Whiley should jump into a Sandman Panel Van & drive off to a surf beach because he doesn't look like a footballer.

jaksch is where?

Tutt & Johnson do not offer anything.

There is 4 to 5 spots just there on the list where we need to upgrade.

Terrible match. Thought our big boys Levi Kreuz & Wood were especially disappointing

That one kick Holman had was a bullet.

The bloke we should of picked up last draft Toby Mclean looked very good, twice the footballer BB will ever be.

Very frustrating game
Disposal shocking
Kicking for goal shocking -kicking 4 11 for first 3 quarters won't win many games

Disposal of tutt boekhurst wood Curnow diabolical -others not much better
Wood in the forward line needs to be smarter cost us a couple of goals
Levi fairly poor
Arm field our best forward but wasteful with 2 goals 4
Thought touhy and Murphy were our best

Thought graham and Buckley also good

Dominated in the clearances for about 3 quarters

When we dominated in the second quarter as usual we kicked points

Johnson Boekhurst Holman Whiley all need game time so judgment still out on them

Tutt showed no pace at all tonight,it's like he held back against his old team mates. Pulled out of numerous contests and repeatedly struggled to apply decent pressure.

Boekhorst was far from good but I'd play him for a month. Unlike Tutt, whiley,Ellard, etc he has xfactor, just needs to pick up pace and gain confidence.

Very scrappy game. Thought we did really well considering the team we had on the field.

Lots of kids and there were some good signs from Buckley, Graham and Holman. We also missed quite a few easy shots, should have been in a much better position than 4.11

I don't see why people are giving it to Murphy, he copped a tag and was one of the few senior players in a really young midfield.

Felt a bit sorry for Tutt getting booed by his own fans, but really his performance deserved it. Cant be good for his confidence. But he is not close to good enough with his decision making, kicking and strength for senior football. Terrible pickup, almost as bad a Jones and Thomas.

A bit concerned by Boekhurst short steps. Not a good sign, but he is tiny out there and very unfit so will give him the benefit of the doubt.

Plenty of good signs, but the team just lacks polish. That won't change in a matter of weeks

Have completely forgotten about him.

He wasn't invisible = well tagged.
He was terrible = disposal was terrible when he broke the tag and won the ball.

If Jaksch turns out ok, which I think he will with another 6-8kgs, means Boekhorst and Whiley were essentially steak knives. Reckon those two will be ok with time, although we could've picked Boekhorst with a much later pick. Whiley just came with the package.

15-8 free kick count didn't help
