Wants to leave "to taste success".
"Doesn't know where he's going"

Something not right about what he's saying and proves that players will leave lower clubs to chase success....yeah right and FA is the real equaliser.

This is NRL like [REDACTED].

I believe, overtime, as players loyalty wanes and player movement increases so will AFL fan attrition....ie loyalty.

It's all about Carlton, sure, but how can I get passionate about the players whilst we are down the bottom?

Go Blues

I think subtitles might read,
they forced my hand
they'll never tell you that
not enough honesty
so think of me as 'the bastard 'if you will
nuffin I can do about it
I shall exit with whatever grace I can muster
which is more than the club afforded to me.
cheers
lachie.

will miss you for sure Lachie,
and no doubt you'll be playing some sparkling footy in defence next year.

Wouldn't use your exact words, but agree with the spirit of this post. Gave us nothing in 2015 when we really needed it.

was it the "heart" word, it was a strong word to use... prick never showed much this year..

A fat 30 something Fevola would of kicked more goals than what Hendo has eked out.

Poor Hendo left in the wilderness not sure where's he's going......yeah right......and he wants mor honesty in the AFL???

Sounds like a good scenario all round. Everyone is happy including Henderson.

Not sure all this 'told round 3' stuff means that much. I am sure he was told something around then but I doubt he was told he was out no matter what./

Not sure that anyone should be told anything in round 3. All players are required until the end of season when player reviews are done. Makes sense, no?

Obviously figures anywhere else would be better than Carlton.

Back to happier times, check out his mark running with the ball late in the last against Richmond in the final.

Have to say...
The aggressive manner with which we are dealing with want away players like Hendo, Yazz, Menz and Bell does make me feel like we've got a plan and we're building something special.
SOS seems to be pretty calculated in his dealings.
Its certainly different than the last time we were down the bottom between 2002-2007, when we didn't seem to have any list management plan, or the balls to look at trading any players worth anything in the trade market for too long (Fev, Lance, Stevens)

I don't blame him for leaving, he's seen so many others walk out the door and seen the crap come in that he knows we're F}#%D. The clubs a disaster zone at the moment. If we don't get the drafting right this year.... I cringe at the exodus again next year. We are a joke.

Yep. I think it is great. It's about the club not individual players.

Sadly, that will be our last finals win for many a year.

Compare Hendo's passion and efforts this year with Dangerfield

Can someone please clarify the Menzel situation? Is it particularly likely he won't be at the club next year? Is this something the club is driving or he is driving?

Yep,
with GesSEN rumoring Bell, Menz, Yazz and Hendo all wanting out, looks like SOS has really gone to town on the list Pelchen style, and is looking at multiple 1st round picks for this year and next.
As stated by others, 'list managing' for the remainder of the year is putting us in the perfect position for trading / drafting....

Yep.
But the worry is that its a poor draft year.

Made this point somewhere else ... and I am probably clutching at straws ... but maybe this gets us the opportunity to pick the eyes out of what talent there is - top 20-25 kids - while most of our rivals have to shift through the chaff.
All I got ... ;)

....
..I've been a long supporter of Hendo, and I can understand a little of the situation he has been in.. ....but, ultimately he succumbed to it.. ..IF it's a grand sale of Franco cozzo proportions then this is the draft to do it in.. ..you can possibly get a jump as you take extra early picks before the shallow top end talent runs dry....

Players who haven't been told by their club they're not wanted. Sure. Fair comparison.
