Didn't the girl from the merchandise shop get the sack for offering "deals"?

I was going to sub title it with "can you smell what we're cooking" as it would of been an apt description of the past decade.

Everitt has triggered a clause and extended his contract for another year.

Would we need to include a player like Holman or a later pick to secure first pick from Geelong for Hendo?

Would it be worth it to ensure we get the top end quality on the list we need?

I haven't seen him play but the younger Curnow seems to have a fair bit of hype around him.

I would. I think it will take Henderson and a player or pick to get Pick 7. We need pick 7.

We have Pick 2
Kruezer goes we get Pick 3
Trade Henderson plus ?? for Pick 7
Yarran to Richmond for Pick 14
Bell & 38 to Brisbane for Pick 19 & 55
Menzel for Pick 28
We have Pick 20
We have Pick 56
We have Pick 74

Select

Pick 2 Weitering (KPD)
Pick 3 Francis (Mid)
Pick 7 C.Curnow (Mid)
Pick 14 Ryan Clarke (Mid)
Pick 19 H.McKay (KPF/Ruck)
Pick 20 Partington (Mid)
Pick 28 Rice (Small defender)
Pick 55 Dylan Smith (KPF)
Pick 56 Hardwick (Mid/Fwd)
Pick 74 Mitch Brown (KPD)
Pick 92 Silvagni (Utility)

Rookie Rioli (Small fwd)

I think 11 new players in the draft is a little bit extreme.

Not if most are early picks plus F/S. Our list is very poor and rebuilding needs aggressive decisions

Is that a challenge?

Judd
Carrazzo
Henderson
Kruezer
Yarran
Bell
Menzel
Warnock
Watson
Ellard
Armfield
Jones
Tutt
Dick

That's 14.

Warnock doesnt seem he will go
Jones and Tutt wont go

You used Yarran and Bell and Menzel in your trades so fair enough

So thats back to 11 , so i guess you have your number

i'd like to keep Army and Dick if possible maybe watson at a stretch

.......and the reality is it probably won't be that many and depends upon what happens during trade week. It's more what I'd like to see.

Yes and I acknowledged that.

Nice of you to join in and add absolutely nothing though. Thanks for that.

It was a fair question and gro's response was fine. Unlike many he was happy to discuss whether he agreed or not.

Without meaning to sound like a drunk wanker, what a grouse answer. Respect.

How many dudes did we move on in 2003 (or was it 2004) when we got the likes of McGrath and Teague etc?

Can't believe we are going to retain Warnock. Of all our overpaid underperformers, he is #1. How much is it for how many games? Not sure why everyone is so keen to sack Army. Played quite well this year, sets a great example on the field and is tough and cares, that gets him another year.

The issue hasn't been the players we get rid of. It's how we have replaced them that has cost us. I think everyone acknowledges our recruiting has been a joke for a decade. New club, new recruiting manager and we need to start again. Unfortunately we can't buy our way out of problems anymore and it's taken us a decade to realise it.
