If we get boned on Yarran and Henderson trades, on top of what has happened the last few years, the AFL will just have to give us that priority pick...............................................................

What do we think of the crop of possible and rumoured inclusions to the side next season how would you order them in terms of importance to our future success

1. Josh Schache
2. Jacob Weitering
(Was hopeful we'd get both but looks more likely we'll chose one)

3. Lachie Plowman (Former 3rd round pick)
4. Ben Lennon (rumoured to be apart of the Yarran deal, Is a boyhood supporter and best mates with Dylan Buckley)
5. Jake Carlisle (We are reportedly still keen)
6. Josh Walker (Rumored as a sweetner for Hendo)
7. James Sicily (We are interested in bringing him over)

These are the players at the moment that we are linked to as far as i know...

For mine we must chose Josh Schache he has the best kick for goal i have seen in a long time. For a tall to have such a relaxed technique but yet so clinical will be a major asset for us. If we hit him up inside 50 5 times he is good enough to consistently kick 4 from 5.

Followed by Lennon he would be best case scenaro Tigers will be filthy if they lose him. With him and Menzel all of a sudden we have the two best young mid sized forwards in the AFL.

Both Dangerous with Casboult crashing and banging bringing the ball to ground they are both dangerous hopefully with dead eye dick Schache roaming around the fwd 50 as well.

I'm a Schache man, but will welcome Weitering with open arms.

Lennon and Carlisle would fit nicely as well.

Not to be pedantic, Plowman was pick 3

The Hendo deal isn't shaping too well right now. Walker? Phark that!!
Seriously, things had better turn around when trade week officially starts because right now it looks like we are going to cop a royal buggering

Reading the bottom part of this article it suggests what many on here are getting worked up about...
I'm sure the club will get the best deal possible for us.
I think we all need to relax and see what happens.
Still got 4 weeks of rumours and innuendo to come.....

"WHAT IF GEELONG GO ON TO WIN THE FLAG NEXT YEAR WITH DANGERFIELD?!?!"
"WHAT IF THE SKY FALLS IN ON ITSELF? @#$%&! THIS I'M GOING TO SELF MUTILIATE AND LISTEN TO SOME VELVET UNDERGROUND AND SHOOT UP GOOD"

Are you kidding? A future draft pick would be the best thing ever!! The excitement of a regular draft pick lasts mere months ... but a future draft pick .... wowee that anticipation would just keep on giving. It would be like having two teams to cheer for next year!!

In regards to Henderson, if Geelong do not come up with a FAIR deal, simply keep him.

It is that simple

Simply make him sign a new contract?

This. We have the number 1 pick in the PSD and several picks in the national draft. first round pick or bust

Force him into PSD , I firmly believe the club under Bolton will be a lot better place for players in the next few years , he may just want to stay.

Now that Patrick Dangerfield (a restricted free agent) has decided to go to Geelong, and Adelaide looks like matching Geelong's contract offer if a fair trade can not be done, Geelong won't have much left for the Henderson deal, so there is a good chance that we could get dudded - again.

Interesting point, let's explore it further - I don't think this angle has been discussed in enough detail, or with enough emotion on the board.

Yep. sit 'em down, tell 'em how it is or we can cut him loose into the PSD and let the Lions draft him again. Or GWS. He [REDACTED] us over, we aint bending over backwards for him.

The Hendo deal is worrying. At least with the Yarran deal we might snare Lennon.

Its a massive test for the club regarding Hendo. There are a lot of supporters like me who are sick of being on the bad side of trades year after year.

I don't want Walker for Hendo. It's simple for me. We gave away 7 last year for what? If they don't (or can't) cough up there first pick then into the PSD with him and we select him. Simple.

We won't get better by taking other people's garbage!

It's been raised already on this board, potentially in a facetious manner, but if it could be proven that our return on Henderson has been critically undermined due to factors out of our control, I would definitely be throwing that into the mix for some sort of a priority pick (end of first rd, potentially).
