Yeah we dont care what Lance looks like right now.. he will be an Adonis come the season.
Standards!!!.. a young group of players and we have aguy that came back from his time off TEN KILOS heavier than he was asked to return.. sure he dropped 5 kilos.. but you really have to question where his head is at when he leaves for a couple of months and thinks he can scoff down as many pies and jam donuts as he likes.

Good on him. he swindled another lucrative contract from himself....

BUT.. while this should be the time that we get ALL POSITIVE PUBLICITY... with Murphy and pick 4 and what should have been a very good player in the psd.. we are stuck with Lance.

As for BV and Cazzesman reporting he looked ok.. well thats why we have scales and we dont rely on a mirror.. we can get an accurate reading on where were at.

PS.. while Stevens was o/s he had abit of a downturn with his health and was ended up hospitalised for a bit.. he couldnt work on himself the way he would have liked.

Lance has Xmas coming up......

Shocking rolemodel for kids like Betts.

With standards like Lance sets and Campo no wonder weve been shit for the last FOUR years.. the clubs fault for not having the 'GUTS'.....

Blue Vain hasn't been backward in coming forward with criticism of Whitnall in the past.

If even he observes he's looking fine then that says more to me than some Herald Sun article.

Given that Lance apparently did some fitness work on his own last season - the cynics in us have to say that the motivation came from the shock he got when he found out that St. Kilda didn't even want him rather than any sense of duty to the club that is actually paying his salary.

It is disappointing therefore that he had no motivation to do the same sort of pre-season work prior to coming to pre-Christmas training this season -given that he has a more than generous new contract with Carlton.

Anytime now Verbs.

But BV wouldnt put his house on the line about it either.....BV called it as he saw it and i have no doubts that he believed what he saw...

But Coutts said "its only pre season yadda dadda da...and Lance will be right"

Look he rocked up with more lard around the gut than he was supposed to.
Are we going to keep on making excuses for Lance year in year out???

He is not meant to be JUST ANOTHER FOOTBALLER anyway.... he is a senior player that should be showing the way to the younger kids at a club that has been ROCK BOTTOM for FOUR YEARS!!!.. what part of that dont you understand???

Hes not meant to be just another allso ran.. we have enough of those already... hes meant to be a yardstick for the kids.. a leader.. show some discipline..

Our blokes just go through the motions and it just flows onto the kids because they have nothing to aspire too.

There are no excuses just reasons!!!
Reason why were shit is because our leadership group is a disgrace.

Imagine we draft a kid like Ryder???... Geraldton WA aboriginal kid... alot of talent but a shy country kid..
Who the @#$%&! is going to take him under his wing????

These blokes need to grow another leg for the club not another spare tyre.

If Lance wasnt a footballer but instead was cast as Augustus Galoop in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory i wouldnt be complaining....

But instead he is an 'elite' player at an 'elite' club in whats currently the most elite competition in this country....

Fancy taking the conditions out of his contract????

He better pull the paddlepop out of his mouth ....

I'm not sure anyone is necessarily disagreeing with anything you're saying Synbad, just questioning the validity of the Herald-Suns reporting.

If Lance is in fact 8kg's over, then let open season begin. I'd rather know for sure first but....

Synbad, just as none of the training attendents can verify his weight, neither have the Hun journalist to be honest. I have been an advocate for his departure in trade week and I too have little patience given his application and form in the last 4 years but the Hun photo probably disproves the claims of the report if anything and I am sure not all training reports can be wrong. Let's see what happens between now and March

Just curious about your wording here - are you expecting some other competition to be the elite competition soon?

Maybe 6 million people through the gates each year isn't enough to be considered the elite competition in this country?

Clearly as thin as he should be, don't know what some of you doubters are talking about. There's nothing wrong with having a double chin or eating McDonalds with your kids repeatedly in the off season

It's November.

Not only is the 'Hun a rag useful only for wrapping fish and chips, but it seems to be innaccurate (surprise, surprise) as well.

Sensationalist shit from the bolthole.

Lets discuss this in February.

Go Blues.

I must admit, when I saw the photos from the first training session, my immediate thought was that he had put on weight.

I totally agree with Synbad on this one.I have saying for a while that our so called leaders are a flower joke.

They think they can get a game no matter what.Simple as that.Lets hope that if fat boy or Stevo or the shag meister dont peform piss 'em off to the bullants and let them play at Willie oval with a howling southerly bluster blowing up their arseholes.

I rather see young guys having a crack instead.Come on Denis drop 'em if they dont meet the standards. It has been funny for a while but I am sick of the lack of professionalism of some of the clubs so called stars.Bring on season 2006.
