just one more time in bold for all those fools who have been carrying on like school kids over tha last 12 pages - you were told by the training watchers - but no - hysteria still reins. Now again: Lance beat his time trial time fromlast year!

Nothing much to it. A couple of shots of training. Some of Lance riding a bike on Royal Parade. Pagan dodged the questions about Lance and focussed on the upcoming draft. Reporter said that Stevens was showing no signs of being overweight and McLaren's shoulder has been given the all clear by his surgeon. Pictures of Stevens training didn't show any extra kilos, but it was only a quick showing.

So the Stevens part of the HUN article has been exposed as bullshit. What's the bet that the Lance bit is too.

Am I missing something? Stevens said on radio he did indeed come back overweight...

I have no idea why everyone is so quick to jump on the training reporters, who have no clue of what Lance's actual weight is, no source. Just 'he looks fit', which I could look at the same Lance or picture of Lance and say he looks fat.

Put it this way, is it not more likely than not that Lance has come back from his pre-season overweight?

And Deano, honestly, your Herald Sun hysteria is borderline ridiculous. The crap about 'since when has Sheahan got anything right' is irrelevant, I think he's on the money and I didn't really think anybody would disagree. If Lance went to a new club do you think he would have DARED to turn up overweight?

I think everyone needs to take a chill pill and relax. It is November after all. We have the draft comming up and we'll snare some great talent.

It's interesting to see that the most negative threads get all the responses. This forum is no different to a newspaper - bad news/ sensationalism sells.

Lance will be good again next year as he was this year. To all that hate him can you please start a " I hate Lance " thread cause I am so sick and tired seeing the same old shit written at every opportunity that arises.

He was obviously running downhill the whole way and the additional mass in the form of 9kg aided him in gaining momentum. Don't you know anything about physics?

It may only be November, and the source may only be the Herald Sun, but the club haven't exactly come out and denied it have they??? If there was no truth whatsoever to the rumour, and he was only one or two kilos over, surely the club or Lance would come out and deny it?

But we've heard nothing, not even a whimper.

What do you want the club to do?
Jump up and down in an Eddie McGuire-like fashion? Gawd I hope not.

If we mention anything about this article, even a whimper, we will be giving it a credibility that it simply doesn't deserve.

Denial = validation. It's as simple as that.

Denial might equal validation, but unless I've missed something, I haven't heard any denials coming out of the club.

All we have heard has been dodging and no comments.

Denial would be good.

Just one more thing..........No offence to the training watchers and reporters here because I love what they do.... but jesus if I believed everything I read in those reports over the last few years then I'd swear I was reading about the Brisbane Lions circa 02-04.

Well, i've taken offence!

For goodness sakes, they are just training! The fact that a bunch of professional footballers can run lots, and handball well on the training track is not an indication that they will win the flag. All the reporters just tell you what they see. I'd bet that the Lions didn't train twice as well as we did. They were just good at putting it together under pressure.

If they looked consistently bad at training I'd bloody well go and watch the netballers train for the Commonwelth Games.

Nick to donate his entire years salary if Lance CURRENTLY weighs in at 108 kilos.
Lance is as unprofessional as they come

Ps its not the training reporters fault that they cant pick up Lances weight issues.

For example.. who would know if the Himalayas actually gained a few tonnes of extra snow and ice???
You need a scientific approach to that....

the problem with Lance is hes been given a directive.. get to 97/98 kilos.. he is hardly ever on that so its hard for people to judge his weight by looking at him cos hes often over.
As for some people who idolise Lance.. if you wanna idolise duds go watch Australian Idol.
Lance needs to show some discipline before he gets defended.
Going away end of year and coming back way over is a disgrace in his situation.
Whats worse is the club has to unfield unnecessary negative reports in a week where it should be up and up...

He has to be more professional... hes a leader
I really cant imagine any leader from another club doing that year in year out.. in this day and age.

Thats ok they do the best with whatever god given talents/ gifts they have.
Lance doesnt.

thats the difference.

Lance isnt out there representing himself .. hes out there representing the club, the members, the sponsors as well as his team mates and coaching staff.

Hes a headcase..!!!...anyone that does that 10 years straight or whatever it is now is a headcase who doesnt give a shit about his club and teamates.

If he did.. he would recognise he has a respnsibility to show the way.
All this talk about being a changed man .... till they gave him a contract is a lie?

He has to put his best foot forawrd and show some professionalism around the club.

Hysteria always makes for some great comedy.

Soon people will be running around screaming "I'm a little tea pot!".
