Everyone across the board is being drilled in a new way of playing. When it works its a beauty to behold, but for now its just not consistent enough.

We're a few games up on expectation at least, and the season is only halfway through. I've penned in a few more wins, and even a surprise or two before the seasons over.

Early days yet for the baggers, and if my sixth sense is correct, our coach and staff have their collective concentration on our younger players and future than many we have in the team now who'll soon be done and dusted.

No use bagging out guys who'll soon be put to pasture. Its our young up and comings over the next few years that are the make or break for this club. That's when things will get really interesting ....

Watched the twos. I didn't see anybody I'd be playing next week.

I'll be waiting for Braithy before I form an opinion on this.

The love in for our coach is justified but we still should ask questions.

Tutt- why? Total failure of a selection

Jackson- he was an investment, and has has been performing well in the reserves. Why has he not been given an opportunity?

We should also see some more blooding of younger players before the year is out.

I agree. I also watched the two's.
Jaksch was hopless and Silvagni is a long way off. Needs another preseason to get close. DVR played one good quarter otherwise was quiet and Buckley was too inconcsistent although he played on the wing and given the state of the ground with the huge mud patch in the middle it probably didn't help him.
JGM looked quite good though and certainly needs persisting with at this stage.
Smith is not up to it and Graham is too slow - definitely no point in playing him in the firsts.

Poor VFL ground conditions don't help AFL development.
Forwards have a hard time coz their team mates upfield have to deal with a mudheap.

Yep.

$200 mil burned on GWS but the grounds of the feeder comp are a disgrace.

We didn't get much forward line action in the first half. Jaksch and Silvagni have been terrific recently. Jaksch actually has been terrific all year and kicked plenty of goals. Saturday was his first shocker. Happens to them all.

Jaksch will be delisted imo - he looks lazy and has no intensity at the contest

Wouldn't think so. Contested marking has been very good and is reflected on the scoreboard. He's kicked 17 this year, which includes alot of time in defence. Should've been in long ago. Does have a few workrate issues at times, other times it's good. Watched him against VFL Geelong. His attack on the ball in the air was outstanding that night.

Can't get rid of 99% of the list in one year mate. Plus he's contracted and others will be gone and can go before him, including those who play in his position.

These sorts of over the top melodramatic posts just scream "I've only seen one northern blues game for the entire year but who cares"
