pretty interesting read, but i say give him whatever he wants. I dont think this is another coach in the league that would have been able to do what Pagan has done at this club.

Pagan is a marvel, and we need to pull out all the stops to retain him. IMO a great coach is worth more than any player.

Collins is too smart to let Denis go.
He is the heart and soul of the club at the moment. He is what turned people from laughing at Carlton to getting nervous again. Without him membership, sponsorship and general wellbeing around the club would wither.

Whatever it takes

has done wonders with the list in the past 2 seasons which should start paying off this year with finals. The jobs not quite finished yet though & Dennis knows this so im not worried, he will resign. Would like to see it done by mid season though.

Good to see that Tim Webster has joined the site.

Hey mebelle - good idea

If it meant keeping Pagan, I'd pay an extra $100 on each of memberships.

In pagan we trust!!!

It craps me off, that his signing is not priority. I hope they don't wait until the end of the year.

If Fremantle and North can resign their coaches now, I think we should be even quicker than them.

Same with signing our our of contract stars such as Fevola, Walker etc.

Other clubs are so far ahead of us in these instances.

Are there any other coaches out of contract? AFAIK every other coach is contracted through to at least next year, so I don't know that there's any other club he could go to (unless someone's contract is terminated early, which could always happen).

Me TOO!!

It really is quite amazing what Denis has done in the way of transforming our team to what it is today. Especially when you consider the circumstances he found himself in after taking over the reins. It would have been very easy for a mere mortal to sulk and bitch and moan...but not our Denis!

According to the Herald-Sun Pagan and Connolly remain unsigned.

P.S. There is a subtle difference between "resign" and "re-sign". Careful or you'll get a job at Sports Tonight
