That's right. Seems Geelong screwed up their bartel paperwork. His contract wasn't legit/lodged legitmately. He now, and Demetriou has ruled on this, has to enter PSD. AFL rules (and for once they benefit us). Carlton are set to abandon the Mclaren plan and draft Bartel... watch this space!
Geelong are very annoyed/embarrassed. Geelong believed him to have re-signed 2 weeks ago, and wanted to wait til lthe draft to announce it. They were suppose to make a big announcement at the draft, obviously this hasn't happened due to circumstances.

You best not be taking the piss, but that seems untrue.

Have we 'officially' committed to McLaren to have him train with us, and therefore unable to look at Bartel? Or is this committment thing in the PSD as fickle as the kind teenagers preach on prom night to seal the deal?

So how does that mean that Demetrifathead is making it impossible for us to get McLaren?

I know he hates us, but the way you spelled it out seems like a bit of a long bow to draw.

I'd be very surprised if Bartel backed out at the 11th hour and Carlton not pick Mclaren in a weeks time.

And I thought a Geelong official told you where to go? :?

there are far more important stories to write up like guessing Big Red's weight at training!!!

as TrueBluBrad said, demetripoo would be doing us a favour so it can't possibly be true...
