Perhaps that sort of material would make a good M&D / FootyGeek / Buzz article depending on any stories we can find for those players?

I think you are confusing him with the doorman of the Hilton Hotel. Eddie McGuire swears that he saw Wayne Harmes fly through the foyer and knock the ball back into play.

I preferred Michael Mansfield's work that day, his shepherding work on Brad Pearce ensured no-one was able to interfere with his leading to the ball.

John Barnes' pass to Peter Dean in the third quarter was pretty special as well. :-D

Steven Handley - shit he was an ugly bogan, wasn't he? Mind, you could say that about most of that team.

He might have been better value recruiting than Stephen Orally.

Leigh Tudor has a fine career now fronting an AC/DC covers act.

Has to be Bert Thornley. Barrassi pulled him off the ground in the 70 Grand Final when he wasn't apparently injured (before interchange) and pulled the masterstroke of throwing Teddy Hopkins (now of Champion Data fame) into the fray. Met him and his son at a preseason function last year in Brisbane. He is now a fisherman up in North Queensland. Lovely guy. Don't know how many games he played though, but would bet he is not well known.

I think you are particularly harsh on Neil Chandler. You don't get to play in 3(THREE) Premierships without any ability.

I would maintain that Neil would be an ideal type for todays football.

Equally Peter Francis did not deserve your harsh words..158 games of AFL footy from a player who had every right to be agrieved at the Clubs decision to swap him for Frank M!
