Would be so nice to see our forwards regularly taking marks on the lead.

Such a rare event since Fev left.

Actually last week we took plenty of marks within forward 50. The problem started when we didn't mark it.
From memory, in the first quarter we had 7 scoring shots, all from 7 marks within F50. Pickett looks likely but his involvements are mainly from marks. We need crumbing forwards as well.
If we added to our midfield mix instead of playing a taller side, Murphy could spend time up forward instead of the bench. He has shown an ability to play as a small forward.

Yes - noticed that last week. Still, a rarity that I hope is rectified soon.

Hawthorn are ruthless and that's why they win flags and don't accept crap performances from players whether it's round 1 or round 22.
They go and drop 4 players that would be walk up starts in most clubs for players that are unproven apart from Hodge.

Us on the other hand get belted by 7 goals and remain unchanged
Players like White, Armfield, Daisy , Ed Curnow and Casboult will offer nothing beyond this season but we continue to accept being mediocore.

Cunningham, Mckay, Polson , Buckley, Jaksch and Sumner should have been picked and then players may actually stand up and fight and scrap for there spots.

It baffles me and is yet another example of how far behind the comp we actually are.
Heck even Shitmond made 3 changes and dropped a proven goalkicker and best 22 player in Lloyd based on his output after only 1 game.

Wouldn't be shocked if we go very defensive this week.

Sounds suspiciously like 'bruise free footy'.....

Ok, I'll post something serious soon. I'm also disappointed that changes weren't made to last weeks team. Specifically White, Daisy, and Dennis (love him, but would swap him with Cunners for obvious reasons).

A bit premature to be writing off Ed Curnow.

As for those above who 'should' be selected, aside from McKay, I don't believe any of the others have been performing so well that they're demanding selection.

Maybe you're right, but I'd prefer being more than just one game into the season before a drastic cull for others who haven't proved they deserve a spot. Additionally, I think history shows that successful teams through history are those with stability.

Don't know how white, daisy and Casboult are still playing.

Mckay in for Casboult. This hole theory that Casboult needs to play to take the best defender is rubbish. Rance didnt even play on him last week. If Mckay came in for him this week he would have played on Oscar Macdonald whilst tom went to Weitering. The other thought that I hear that Casboult is a good back up ruck, he had 2 goals kicked on him by Nankervis last week. Mckay would only have to ruck 5 mins a quarter anyway and he couldn't be worse then Casboult.

We're gonna lose by 10 goals at least, the kids are already better than the experienced players.

Cunningham couldnt be worse then daisy, and white should be dropped purely because 5 key defenders has never worked for anytime in the history of the AFL.

And the leadership argument is crap, all these players do is turn the ball over (white). And not chase back when they make a mistake (daisy). Thats how bad habbits start.

And of incoherent rant!

What the hell happened with Melbourne's development & our development that they're going to beat us by 10 goals?

We were both equally shit five minutes ago

They have a more balanced team, with more gun midfielders and aren't playing 5 to 6 players that wouldn't get a game in any other team.

Kerridge and McKay are both playing in the VFL practice match with Graham kept as an emergency for us.

Unfortunately in the years we were pissing away draft picks and making idiotic trades, they were building a team for the future.

That they've (bafflingly) been our bitches the last few years doesn't change this.

Yes , agree and we'll be paying the price for a while yet.
The past administion together with Footabll operations almost obliterated our great club.
Hope Silvagni Brodie and Bolton can get us back on our feet. We still need to look closely at operations and youngster development .
Go Baggers

Which makes you wonder why Andy McKay is still there considering he was involved in many of these shocking trades.
I am going today, not expecting to even come close but just hoping to see some of the young boys play well.

Yeah, why were we scheduled today after playing last Thursday?

(I know, the AFL hate us)
