By the way Campo was good enough to play 200 + games for our club and pick up nearly 400+ pos. a year plus he would have a dip I dont think I've seen a player cop as many belts around the head than him.
For the past 3 seasons he has maintained his 20 possession a game average, by:
- playing on from kicking out (at least 5 times per game).
- running around the back of our junior players on the half back line and demanding the "cheapie" handball. (at least another 5 times per game).
As for copping belts around the head - if he hung around another year he would have been a bit like Douglas C. Neidemeyer and copped a few from his own team mates.

So what Agro, what we needed was MORE players getting as many touches as Campo, if we had more players, if some of our other players who have been at the club a while now could get the ball as much as Campo then I'd venture to say we might not be in as much trouble? You know it too Agro, we need more players averaging 20 possessions a game, and we needed more to help out Campo, Stevens, Scotland etc. Plenty of players have had chances but nobody has been able over a long period of time to get as much of the footy as Campo and people easily forget that!
But just on your points, and I keep repeating it:
1.) Nobody was ever forced to give the handball to Campo for the 'easy' possession. Campo provided an option and more often than not, was used, but then I would argue that this is perfectly fine because;
2.) Campo whether or not you liked him was one of our best kicks of the footy! Surely it's not illogical to suggest that you want your best kicks of the footy getting more of the footy in the first place? And on kickouts, perhaps you should watch Nick Stevens and how many times he kicks to himself and plays on hence getting the same "cheap" possession you accuse Campo of getting.
Sydney Blue is 100% right, anyone who plays 200 games for the club, makes the AA team, finds the ball as consistently as Campo whilst being tagged and scragged and belted every week in both good and poor sides etc etc deserves respect, it's that simple. Yes his departure was messy but nothing can take away from the fact that he was great for the Carlton FC.
