Is it odd that Palmer played in the GWS prelim final but is battling for a game at Carlton?

Jesse Glass-McCasker looks like he might miss so there's one option.

After reading the Northern Blues match report i'd bring in Cunningham for Pickett.
If Kreuzer is fit then he replaces Phillips.
If Murphy or Gibbs are injured then Smedts might be the best option.
Maybe give Weitering a rest and give McKay a go......or perhaps give Macreadie a rest, shift Weitering back and bring in McKay.

I think it's more about the direction both clubs are taking.

At this rate we'll go into next week's game above Sydney on the ladder. While I'm not liking our chances guessing we would've said the same when we played Freo in round 5 last year too. Maybe the Swans are in for a shit year, similar to Freo last year, so you never know next week.

Graham played really well today and must be given a chance. I know he has his flaws but he has a crack.

In general I've been a strong proponent of Bolton playing as many 1st and 2nd year players as possible in the AFL tempo as a unit so they can learn and gel together.

I'm gonna contradict myself a bit and suggest that Big H should remain in the NB's for a while yet and dominate as THE key forward while he physically develops into a beast. 2018 is the year to unleash him.

In the meantime, KJ is physically developed and hungry to go at AFL level from what I saw yesterday and a bit frustrated the shackles remain on him.

I remember last year Phillips' first couple of games were rusty as hell and he improved pretty quickly IIRC, so I'd persist with him for another week or 2 while Kreuzer freshens up.

Out: White Murphy (inj) Gibbs (inj)

In: Jaksch Smedts Cuningham

Two changes i would like to see, not including any forced ones due to injury are:
Cunners in for white, Playing 5 key defenders can't/isn't working, bringing in an extra mid would help with our run and give an extra rotation in the midfield.
The other one is Rowe for Mckay. Rowe has been great this year so far, but his role as taking the best key forward from the opposition is going to be Wieters role when were climbing up the ladder in a few years. Let's play him there now, let him develop as much as possible in what is going to be his role. Also, there are many examples of teams trying to play defenders up for and they hate it (Henderson and Carlise) listening to weiters he wants to play defense, and this allows us to bring in Mckay for some game time. If he's not ready, play Rowe up forward or even KJ if he is still in the club's plans for the future.

Some nice things but overall I thought his decision making was below par. He puts his team mates under pressure.

As much as it pains me, I'm on the verge of giving up on seeing Jacksh in the seniors (for a sustained period anyway)

Did anyone hear Bolton's response to Robbo on Crunchtime when he asked him about his vision for a forward line in 2-3 year time. He identified McKay, Silvagni and I think Curnow. KJ (otherwise known as 'he who shall not be mentioned', was, well, err, uhmmm...NOT MENTIONED!!!!)

Didn't think he had much of a game yesterday, although took a couple of strong marks, so next week is another cross for senior selection.

I don't think Graham will play. I'm not even sure he should. But I thought his decision making with the ball was outstanding yesterday. He really seems to struggle with the increased tempo at AFL level.

B70 also posted that SPS and Macreadie will be rested due to fatigue.

I'd go out: Philips, Gibbs, Murphy, SPS, Macreadie
In: Kreuzer, Smedts, Graham, Kerridge, Cuningham.

Simpson Rowe White
Docherty Marchbank Plowman
Cuningham Cripps Kerridge
Polson Weitering Wright
Silvagni Casboult Pickett
Kreuzer E Curnow Graham
Smedts Williamson C Curnow Fisher
