Oh well....

i had a feeling the boys may have been a
little flat today............✔...!

add to that some missing zip and one man
down...and 26 points flattened the Tiges
really...!

I'm not shattered...probably more circumspect...!

maybe I'm circumspect...I'll just check the
exact meaning to see if it works...!

kindest regards tommi

We have a young side. Bolton will help them learn from that.He needs to learn from it as well. He didn't try anything at all. Could have tried Weiterng up forward and gone with a smaller backline. Could have put an extra man in the defensive fifty to cut off some of the easy short transverse passes that ended up shots on goal. Something. Anything.

I sat watching it knowing we were never going to win and had we pinched it, it would have given people a false idea of where we are at. The only time I was annoyed was when we missed an easy handball to run into the F50 and they ran the length of the ground four wide and kicked an easy goal.

There is a lot to like going forward. Richmond are at least a year ahead of us and their trades last season for running mids was a great move. That's what we have to learn from as well.

Until Boekhurst is prepared to commit to the contest and take the physical contact that comes with that, he will struggle. I get the decent run at it but there are basic flaws in his game that he has not addressed since he arrived.

Would like to be seeing jk instead.
Has this been mentioned before?
And Buckley . Want to see him get a run.

Spent most of his time on JR. Did not lose a contest. Took a great "chest" mark over a Richmond player. Can hold his head high.

Today showed our lack of depth. Pickett, Graham and Boekhorst lack the courage and intensity required to succeed at AFL level.
Smedts was poor but at least he put his head over the ball.

Not a total loss - highlights the gaps that are missing in our lineup before we are serious.

Great experience for our under 23 year olds, a pity that Fisher, Williamson and Cuningham missed it.

Pathetic post. You'd have been cheering Murphy over the last two months. Changing captain maybe, trading unlikely...

The through the hands and shit himself miss from Pickett in the last quarter after our best run of play for the day and two goal turnaround that resulted was awful
However I'm inclined to give Pickett a little leeway despite a very poor game today because clearly he has something. Just don't see anything in Boeky Smedts or Graham.
Richmond left the door wide open for us today and a decent side without the passengers above would have run over them

Playing ultra defensive footy at the moment

Understandable considering where we are coming from

Clearly lack depth and class in the midfield

We are still two drafts away

As today showed, we need to build some depth on our list as the ins today were pretty ordinary

I agree. Unfortunately there is too much Kane Lucas in Boekhurst's game. Im not sure he will be able to shake that.

Only bright side is even when we are dead set shit we can be competitive against decent sides. That's about the only positive.

We were only competitive cause they kept us in the game. We were EMBARRASING. Our lack of spread and run when we had possession is so frustratingly well...frustrating

And SPS needs a good spell in the 2s. Has done bugger all for 5 weeks

Played on Riewoldt and Martin. It would've been fairly ugly without him, he along with Kreuzer and Cripps were our best by a long way.

Cheers SC.

Pretty ordinary game, we looked flat and tired.
Lots of players down today.
Cripps is by far our best player, he had a mighty second half.
Richmond are shit, the umpiring was shit.
Basher Houli is in trouble and I hope he gets weeks for that cowardly hit on an unsuspecting Lamb.
Did anyone notice that at least 3 of our players got poked in the eyes in the first quarter?
A bit of a reality check today.

One positive from tonight, is seeing signs that Charlie could be someone our future forward line could be built around.

Do Storm still share our home ground, because we could do worse than have the Storm show us how to stick a tackle.

When being tacked, how long is Dusty allowed to take to either dispose the ball or break the tackle?

He enjoys a reputation for being impossible to tackle so gets plenty of leeway.
