Do you think Bolts knew which Crouch he was giving votes to?
I assume Bolts went with:
5 - Gibbs
4 - Crouch(?)
3 - Jones
2- Smith
1 - Cripps

Disgusting umpiring today. I am surprised more hasn't been said about it.

I'm growing weary of watching us lose out in those tiggy touchwood decisions at crucial times which invariably gift the opposition goals.

Worst one for me today was when a Crow was caught red hot in the goal square, beautiful tackle, incorrect disposal, but the momentum of the tackler pushed the guy forward (Crouch?). In the back!!! WTF? Seriously, he had already dropped the ball cold. Just a wrong decision. Wrong.

If you land on someone's back while or after tackling them it is a push in the back

However, if he had already dropped the ball...? :?

It still has to be a legal tackle. If you tackle someone, they drop the ball and in the final stages of the tackle you sling them to the ground or your arm comes up around their neck, it's an illegal tackle.

yep agree with all of you about illegal tackles
the perplexing part of the ruling is if a player drops his knees (just like the head high tackles are deemed as playing for the free) and going purposely to ground forcing the tackling player into his back should be deemed as incorrect disposal
i'm not sure of the exact rule, but either its the interpretation of the rule or another way a team has found to bend (cheat) the rule

That's the game, it comes down to tackling technique.

The fact it was in the goal square made it more frustrating but it was there.

Going off tonight's game, we're a chance against the Bulldogs.
