Not sure if this has been posted, but Wayne spoke to the Breakfast Show on Thursday and gave a pretty honest and informative interview. Spoke a little bit about the recruiting process and some of our recruits. For those interested:

Here's my summary of what was said:

- Pagan just let Wayne pick the players as that’s his job
- Marc Murphy is flying on the track
- Kennedy gets his shoulder reassessed tomorrow and will be into some training on Monday
-Doesn’t see Carlton play at all (only once in two years) because of his commitments
- Attends Match Committee meetings all year so he has a real feel of where we stand, what the coaches are thinking and what our needs are (aware of our strengths and weaknesses) and it does influence your draft choices by making you more aware of players who look like they could help cover a particular weakness, which was why Marc Murphy became so obvious. You look for what we’re missing.
-Mentions that when Barnaby goes down we lose, no ruck depth, and that we’re trying to fix that situation by focusing on getting a ready made ruck who’s already done the apprentice with another club and that we started looking at McLaren towards the end of the year
- For the PSD they dialed in on a phone and when it was their turn they just pressed the mute button and used it. Worked very well, and its how it’s done in America. “It’s a great system.â€

-Murphy has a bit of knee tendonitis. Been very impressive on the track. Can’t expect too much too early. Doesn’t miss a target. Very balance runner. First pre season of footy because of cricket. Gives us something new and something very exciting.

I noticed that Murph had two bandages around his knees yesterday at training.

He's mortal after all.

Listened to the interview and i gotta say Hughes came across very well.Hughes aint exactly a barrel of laughs.A very dour meticulous sorta guy who crosses his T's and dots his I's.He obviously does his homework thoroughly and leaves nothing to chance.A very mechanical, methodical type of guy.
I got the feeling of confidence listening to this guy.Heobviously takes his job very, very seriously and is 100percent commited to giving his very best.I reckon up till now he has been faultless.

Summed him up perfectly Mick. He does have a very good sense of humor, which is a very dry wit.
