The AFL website article says “Carlton and Gold Coast will be given special "outside national draft" access to the top state league players as part of assistance packages signed off by the AFL Commission.”

Note the words “part”. This implies this is not all or if not true is misleading and poor journalism.

Dunno but I'm sure the AFL will make it up.

i dont have any issues with it, if GC get one, then that is a entirely different scenario and the club should get lawyers involved.
