One small gripe, when were the locker photos taken, as the pups name is not on the number 27 locker.
Terrific site though, Thanks

They are from a few years ago, so there are a few names missing, e.g. Fev, Hulme.

Will contact the club and try to get updated pics of the lockers early next year.

If you're going to make it all part of the Club website, make that part of the deal too, rather than scans of a four-colour offset printed page.

Looks good Jarusa. great idea, that one

I posted a question in there about whether the Locker Room should be a full resource of all players or just those who played games? I know players like David Nicholson (#37 for a season) don't get a biography but for assistance on trivia questions it may be useful listing all players somewhere on Blueseum? Just a thought, no biggy if you can't do it and I guess it would be very difficult to source such information, especially if Williamson didn't collate it.

Great minds molsey.

Maybe a 'Reserves' section in the locker room to house all those players who were on the Carlton list, but never played a senior game.

The information would be available as well, anyone with an old Footy Record would be able to add details in the Reserves section.

What do you think?

I was going to ask if you needed numbers such as those....I have a few that may be of interest.

I have a question. On the number one locker it says that there were 7 100 game plus players but only five listed on the actual door, who were the other two?

Greg Wells would be one I'm guessing. Last Melbourne Captain to win a premiership too 8)

We have included players who played 100 games, yet played most of their career before numbers were introduced.

The two players this applies to for Guernsey No. 1 are:

Fred "Pompey" Elliot, whose career spanned 1900 to 1911 for Carlton. He only played one game wearing the number 1, that game just so happened to be the 1911 final which was the first game that numbers were worn in a VFL game in Victoria.

Also Billy Dick who in the 1910's wore number 11 for 1 game, number 6 for 9 games, number 18 for 10 games, number 14 for 21 games and number 1 for 46 games.

We are working on a way to include all this extra information without clogging the pages up too much.

Sounds good warby, feel free to PM me or shoot off an email to jarusa at iinet dot net dot au and we can work something out.

Update: all of the data in the Locker room has been updated so you can now see how many premierships etc. each Guernsey has been involved in.

I think it would be good if we could add all numbers in there, even if some of them don't have links to bios (as bios aren't done for them). This would make it clear, for example, if anyone wore #4 between Bosustow and Kernahan?

Makes sense.

So basically a copy of what is already there but with reserves players added?

Yep, just leave their names without the blue bit though. The history will show all numbers, if we can get them, and the No of players number will correspond to the number of players whose name is in blue.

In future someone may want to add bios for Chris Jackson, Cameron Croad and Tony Plim. But I seriously doubt it.

ps just put up Williams. What a player! What performances!

*bump*

I've just finished off the new and super-duper version of the locker room.

http://www.blueseum.org/tiki-index.php?page=Locker+Room

More numbers, better pictures, more information (over 4000 pieces of information), every player, every jumper for every senior game, how many games they played in each jumper.

This will be a great resource for trivia questions. :P

Please if you have some time volunteer to help at the Blueseum, it is getting very close to being given to the club. The more info there is in the Blueseum the better it will be to the club. The Blueseum will create thousands of dollars of revenue year in year out for the club, it will be a massive resource which will put the club in front of every other club in terms of exposure on the internet.
