Very happy with those changes.

LOB and Honey were the obvious weak links against WC

I like the changes and that we haven't brought Pittonet McGovern straight in.

I think Hayes brings something we need. He is a mature wingman that works hard both ways and creates. He can be a 25 possession player there and that will really help

I’m glad to see we have gone past Setterfield and now LOB as our wings.
Of course it may be temporary if form and ability to contest improves. But for now they are disappointing for me.

I have fond memories of Cerra playing wing for Freo and he looked like he was over the knee issue last week, and Hayes looks like a wingman to me. The MCG will test Hayes and if he comes out of that game with flying colours he has stepped up from being the best wingman in the VFL in his Footscray days.

Go Blues.

7 actual defenders. Why it took 2 weeks to come to the correct conclusion amazes me.
Great to see Hayes get a shot at it. A very well balanced team. Just a shame Pitto couldn't play.

As long as Newnes is not playing back then the team is fine.
Hayes/Cottrell/Newnes to rotate the wings.
Doc to play HB with Stocker as the 7th Defender
Cerra to rotate through the middle with Crippa/Hewitt/Walsh

It's great now that for the first time in many years we will have pressure being put on for spots. That can only make us better.

Apparently the weather forecast is not great for Saturday night. Very windy and showers developing.

Not saying he should be, but not even a mention of Dow - even as an emergency. Surely, his papers are stamped.....

I wouldn't have expected Dow to be promoted this week. Our best mids are healthy and we've got others trickling back in so the mids don't have to cover other positions. It'll take injuries in the middle to get Dow back in the picture.

There is a picture of him training today with no strapping.

This may explain S. Durdin being named as emergency

Wouldn't read too much into Dow scenario based on this team.
LOB and Honey get to stay in the squad having made way for the inclusions and Durdin and Setters are required for structural coverage.

True, how could I forget Mr Plow.

A run in the 2's for Gov and he'll be in for Plow

Mature and big/hard bodies will be what’s required.

I wish Pitto and McG we’re available but what will be will be

Given how we played last week I expect us to line up like this

B: Stocker Young Plowman
HB: Docherty Weitering Saad
C: Hayes Cripps Newnes
HF: Cerra McKay Fisher
F: Silvagni Curnow Durdin
Foll: TDK Hewett Walsh
Int: Kennedy Cottrell Newman Motlop (O'Brien)

Stocker in to take Stengle
Plowman on Rohan

See bluechampion's latest post in the injury thread... Gov and Pitto both playing VFL this weekend.
