Hi everyone, particularly fans in the ACT and NSW

The Club has organised a "Meet and Greet" in Sydney with Kouta and Nick Stevens starting at 11:00am at the Randwick Boys High School oval on Sunday 5 February starting at 11am.

We got an email at work today inviting us to the Optus building in Sydney to meet the boys. A special for us because we sponsor the club. :twisted:

Interesting that Murphy is going with Kouta and Stevens. Grooming him for a future leadership role perhaps? Or just introducing the number 1 draft pick?

Murphy will be (one of) the next vice captain(s).

Carlton should look at maybe playing a home game up there in the future if there's enough interest shown from the locals that might be worth cultivating.

That would be nice....if we can get a match up here more frequently than once every 3-4 years...

In terms of looks, you would suggest he is ahead of the most recent no 1s ie Deledio, Cooney and Goddard in terms of appealing to the ladies

seriously though are any Carlton fans going to report back on the Sydney day today? From memory it was a BBQ and meet the player day?

Was a meet and greet with Kouta, Stevo and Murph.

Would have been about 40-60 people there, including myself and the Supremos.

Channel 10 were there.

It would have been nice to have been a meet and greet and sausage sizzle/kids clinic and kick-to-kick to really get the kiddies involved. As it was, the players then went on to the Royal Hotel for a more formal event. The Supremos and I didn't attend that (not least for the fact that it was a charged event).

If this is the extent of promotion of the Blues having a match in Sydney, then it's little wonder we are constantly shat on in this regards by Collingwood and Essendon*.
