He had a good season last year, hopefully this one will be even better.

I dont think we appreciate how close this guy was to missing out.
Several Carlton supporters followed his progress from TAC to Geelong and I recall him tearing our ressies to pieces at OO one day.
He played midfield and had an absolute stack of the ball.

But Geelong didnt see a future for him and his position was looking very shaky at Carlton halfway through the 2004 season.
He had a lean patch due to illness and injury from memory and couldnt get near it.

Thankfully a move to the back half and a couple of good performances saw him get an opportunity.
No doubt Pagan was giving everyone an opportunity at the end of 2004 because heads were going to roll.
Carrazz was fortunate he hit form when he did because he was looking to go the same way as Blake Campbell, Beasy & co.

I've never doubted his ball winning ability, composure and courage but importantly he knows his weakness is his kicking and he plays within his limitations. He doesnt try to drill players but instead weights the ball and plays the percentages.

The quotes from Andrew in that article are very revealing. Shows a maturity and commitment which is just what the doctor ordered. Quite a perceptive and thoughtful guy. Love his work ethic - voted by the players 2 weeks ago as one of the top 3 workers on the track during pre-season.

He is not an 'athlete' - very much an instinctive footballer who also seems to think clearly about what he does and plays the percemtages very intelligently. From all accounts is developing as an excellent reader of the game and very coachable - Pagan loves the way he can give him a job and he will follow to the letter.

With these qualities together with courage and determination in bucket loads, expect to see him in the leadership group sooner rather than later. And from there, he certainly could be one to vy for the ultimate leadership role in the future.

While we're Carrazzo loving, I reckon he is one of the first picked each week. i know that's an overused expression but very few of our players can fill the voids like he can, and very few have the versatility that he does. He was our first picked back pocket each game, for the fast forward pockets like Farmer, and still played midfield as well. he was one of our best in a number of games, particularly Freo and St Kilda. He's a good one.

PLUS HE IS A LIFELONG CARLTON FAN
