I heard PCL for Pit and MCL for TDK... not sure 'fit' covers it

If we pick them they will be playing pretty sore I would think

The talk coming out about Pitto has big time 1-2 vibes about it to me

The club is quiet on the subject.
I get where youre coming from.

TDK was a test last Sunday, so he must be a good chance.

And there a is an argument that Sos after his hawks should play. I’d rather drop young

We are absolutely ripe to turn in a shocker this week.

My faith is destroyed.

Fremantle are all over the shop. Very gettable. The sides that have beaten us this year have generally been in decent form, apart from Sydney from memory

Anyway I agree with you

If the plan is to keep TDK for the future I wouldn't be playing him this week even with the slightest doubt
Darcy and Jackson are wrecking balls and playing on that hard surface at Optus can't be any good for a player with suspect knee injury .
We will get slaughtered in the ruck regardless of who we play so let Young and JSOS be the battering rams

I agree with you on the likely loss in the ruck battle and being cautious about bringing our injured ruckmen back early, but it is unlikely that the ground will be hard this week - apart from 5 days last week, we have had non-stop rain since late May, with more rain forecast for the rest of this week. The ground will be perfect.

Let’s face it
The opposition the last two games has been shit
Anyone who thinks we have turned the corner are dreaming

Yes we have played better
The addition of Cuningham helps
And of course if you get the ball in quick the forwards have a better chance

Even Martin has been ok

But Freo are a better opposition
This is basically a mini final
So the pressure will be on
And we all know that when the real pressure comes on the Blues fall over like a house of cards

So let’s see how we go Sunday
I still think we need to start again if we want to be top 4 team in terms of rebuilding

Has Fyfe been any good this year?
I’m mostly concerned about Jackson around the ground. And about their pesky little forwards who popped up and killed us early last season.
Wouldn’t be opposed to SOS being given a run-with role on Jackson.

You obviously watch the other teams
Bottom line was out injured
He came back playing mainly forward with progressively more time
in the middle
His body is failing him
Which is a shame because whoever you barrack for you have to admire such a courageous player
He would be the least of our worries if he played anyway
Brayshaw Serong and Darcy are more concerns
And watch for Jye Amiss
This kid is green as but will be an absolute gun
Busselton boy which is where I live
Great place by the way

True, haven’t watched a hellavalot of other matches this season. But esp Freo - didn’t think he was having much of an impact but wasn’t sure.
In any event, we don’t have a great track record when playing teams missing some of their stars!

Will be interesting to see who wins in the coaches box which may be the biggest determinant of the outcome.

We’re on a roll… three weeks without a loss!!

The opposition were shit? Well, we were absolute shit for 8 out of the 9 previous weeks!

To win 2 AFL games in a row comfortably by 10 goals is nothing to sneeze at, regardless of the opposition. When you are coming off 6 straight losses, it is a pretty big turnaround.

The additions of Cunningham, Martin, Kemp, Cincotta and Boyd to the team, along with dropping Young, Motlop et. al. has made a massive difference to our mobility and ball movement out of defence, along with much improved forward 50 entries and having additional scoring targets.

We may not have turned "THE" corner, but we have certainly turned "A" corner. The change in the team's mindset and confidence is clear for all to see.

Like you, I still don't trust them when the pressure is on to perform, but I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt this week against a team that is nothing special and also in pretty poor form.

One thing I can agree on is that Sunday is absolutely a mini-final and the players have to treat it as such.

I am heading down the road to watch the game and I hope like hell to be enjoying the walk home knowing that the season is still alive.

Go Blues!!

Been pissing down here all week, forecast looks good for Sunday at least, a sunny 19.

Hopefully the good Blues turn up

I note that this weekend's game is part of the AFL's "Kids Go Free" promotion for the next 3 weeks. I wasn't aware of it when I booked my reserved seat through my interstate membership weeks ago, so I can't take the kids with me.

There's something weird going on with the Blues members reserved seats this time around - we couldn't book any additional tickets for guests, we are at the opposite end of the ground to last time and I keep getting Fremantle Dockers membership emails!! Probably just Freo playing with our heads...

My girls are only 5yo and 3yo, so they are probably too young to go anyway. I will probably take them to the open training session on Saturday as a tester for next year.

If that tour is happening, I will be going for sure! They played at Badlands Bar last year and it was great. They've still got it and Eli is a great addition - I like him better than Stanier TBH.

I went to see Helmet at The Rosemount too. I have to agree, the sound wasn't great and I could barely see anything, but glad to finally see them.

The only other decently-sized local venue that I have been to with a good sound so far is the Metropolis in Fremantle, but the sound is only good on the ground level - it is shithouse upstairs. And apart from that it is a rundown shithole with sticky carpets, overpriced drinks and is a fire disaster waiting to happen. Kinda reminds me of Geelong nightclubs from the late 90's / early 2000's.
