Sometimes, I feel that we should just grab the 4 points and move on, even if we win by a goal....

HOWEVER, if we are going to get into the finals, it will most likely be determined on percentage given that few other teams like Richmond also had a Draw and could end up with the same points..

So Percentage is important.. we need to have a 50+ Win.... anything more is a bonus.... anything less than 40 will be disappointing...

This week we have to go for a big kill.
Huge percentage booster awaits us if we have the right attitude.
Looks like Jeremy McGovern has been ruled out and possibly Oscar Allen.

Anything happen at training to influence your thoughts?

Yeah-nah. It is an opportunity if all those players are to miss, but Ive seen enough of Lemmey to believe he will really struggle with the pace of AFL. He is nowhere near it imo. I think O'Keefe has past him recently.

Turn it up.

They’re both coming along nicely, but Lemmey is making gains in all three zones. O’Keeffe has only just come good as a tap ruckman.
No, I'm with Bondi on this.
Lemmey shown less in all facets of the game than O'Keeffe.

These would be my changes. You loose nothing with Young up forward offering a chop out to Curnow.

Rotate ruck with TDK.

JSOS limited if any ruck and stays up forward.

Got to think what structure will work until H return if at all this year.

Structure seemed to work pretty well last week with a mobile, fluid forward line. IMO opinion one of our biggest issues all season has been our propensity to bomb it long on the head of Harry or Charlie. Last week we were forced to run, create space, and hit players on a lead

The forward line with Charlie as the number 1 option worked well but it was bloody hard work for Charlie. The big advantage was it gave one reference point for our small forwards to operate from. I thought for the first time this season, the opposition defenders were immediately pressured when the ball hit the deck by 2 or 3 Carlton players. Having 2 dominant tall marking options dilutes our presence at ground level.
I've also noticed were playing with even numbers in the front and back halves when the ball is in contest. Instead of allowing the opposition a spare in defence and taking one ourselves, we're playing more man on man.
The only time you'll see a spare is when the ball is camped in one of the forward lines from a slow play or repeat forward line stoppages occur.
I'd be tempted to play Charlie as the sole tall and perhaps play Young as the sub, if it becomes apparent that he needs a chop out.

Lemmey is a unit, but he looks like he's still learning the game, not in the same league as Mirkov, but not near ready imo.

O'keefe has been a revelation since he's been the No 1 Kahuna. He's the big surprise packet. I'm so glad we re signed O'Keefe because, like Cincotta, he was one of the 2 LTI draft picks, in other words, one of the 2 extra rookies we have on our list. We have to cut 2 rookies from our list. Yes cut 2 and not replace.

I’d never play a 200cm player as a sub. Needs to a more versatile runner.

Instead, I’d bring in Marchbank for Boyd to provide a bit more height there. If Charlie needs some help, send one of Marchbank, Kemp, or Gov forward.

Alternatively give Dow a proper run on ball and send Cripps forward. A week off from the bash and crash of the centre square wouldn’t hurt

Marchbank was with Senior group. Must be close

Cowan just seems more like for like and he was training with Seniors

If they're injured and Cerra could be, fair enough.
Otherwise I think it's a stupid move. Cripps is moving as freely as he has been all year. Let him play. Let's not get overly cocky here.

If true we're getting way ahead of ourselves. What a surprise.

Cerra will probably miss as a precaution, but I would be very surprised if Cripps was rested unless there's a new injury we are not aware of - he has been moving well over the past few weeks.

Feel very uneasy if we are choosing to rest players in addition to our injuries/suspension.
