Hello all, im new to this forum and im just interested in your opinions of Justin Davies, i dont have much time for him and to me he appears too casual and not enough urgency in his game. He shows glimpses of being something like that time he kicked 3 in the last qtr vs Collingwood, then he will do nothing.

I was very very surprised he survived the cut at the end of 2004 and even more surprised he survived it at the end of 2005... am i being too harsh, does he have something i cant see ?? Because he isnt overly quick, his skills arent that flash, not sure where this bloke is at ?

The best work to describe him is laconic.

You can't change it, as far as i'm aware. It changes automatically as your post count increases.

If you ask the moderators nicely they can change it....(doesn't mean they will).

On JD, I also thought he was a candidate for the axe at the end of last year, so that we could get a late draft pick and because he hadn't proved himself and he has a 4 match suspension to be carried over into this year. This has to be his last year if he doesn't perform consistently in the seniors.

It's post count.

And quality comes into it. If you post a lot of garbage we'll make you Aaron Hamill or Scott Camporeale.

He's lazy, frustrating and overall useless and undisciplined

I think Davies is a real talent. I just can't believe Wiggins gets games over this guy.

There's a lot of similarity for mine between Davies and Justin Murphy. Loads of talent, not willing to put in the effort to maximise that talent..

The regular training goers here and at CSC reckon Davies and Houla are training the house down, hopefully Houla has a big year and Davies'makes his mark.

Davies isn't a marshmallow though.

I'd like to see that happen.

Davies has the opportunity to go up a level or 2, I'd like to see him grab that with both hands.

Nothing wrong with Brad Pearce....a great player for us in '95 and capped it off with 4 goals in the Grand Final.

Justin Davies....laconic like Rhys....talented ....occasionally; and just when you think he's turned the corner; he grubs a pass to a team mate on his own leading to a turnover; or kicks to the opposition.

He is so frustrating! ....misses easy goals then desperately tackles to force a turnover to our advantage.

I've got no doubt that if we had a heap of talent on board; he'd be gone.

I hope he makes it.

I'm this close to writing him off. He puts in the hard yards on the track, but come game time he is jsut not consistant enough. And he also has a problem managing his temper on-field. Once i can forgive, repeated offences just make me  .

BUT....if he can mature this year and put his talent to good use I will be very happy... for him and the team.

Biggest tease on our list.Throw him in the guts, for if he's gonna make it,its gonna be as an onballer.Always does well when he is in there, but then they put out to starvation corner. That is not the way to go with this kid.Its all or nothing for mine, and if he cannot make an impact on a consistent basis as an onballer then we are wasting our time. This is the year for Justin,no iff's or butt's.
And i cannot have this bizzo about him being lazy.No way.Anyone that does so well in our distance time trials must be working his backside off.A very hard trainer actually. Its not laziness, its lack of concentration.Gotta get the eye of the tiger Justin.Shit i hope he comes through.
