Obviously the Blues are heading up to Newcastle and playing an intra club game tomorrow at 2pm.
Which of our NSW supporters are going to put in the hard yards and give us a detailed report?

It would be much appreciated and the opportunity to gain instant popularity! :-D

I'd love to also. But I'm working....

Couldn't the club have thought a little about it and made an interstate intra-club match on a weekend, so guys like me and Deano, and all sorts of other Sydney blues supporters could get along and make a day of it?

Would have been better to do the meet-and-greet there, and made an informal "family day" type event.

That's a shame, it'd be an opportunity for you to learn something about our game

I get a morse code live game report during the regular season that arrives approximately six weeks after each game is played. I piece together what I can from that.

You guys need to have thicker skins. On the earlier incarnation of this very forum, and again on this very forum I was told I couldn't possibly know anything about Carlton's games by TWO different members (clueless may have been used on several occasions), and that because I couldn't see the work that someone like the very highly rated Nathan D Brown does off the ball I wasn't in a position to be posting on such a forum with any authority. Further, I was told that there's is a difference between mere supporters, and those who belong to a club, and by being based in Brisbane I could only ever just be a supporter and could never really belong to the Carlton Football Club like those who are based in Melbourne can.

So I'm not allowed to defend myself Verbs?

I'd rather be upfront and tell people what I don't find acceptable, and I don't find geographic discrimination acceptable.

I'm sorry if you find my stance offensive. Perhaps you too need a thicker skin.

I care little for your stance. I understand some people are quite easily offended. Hate to imagine your response if you'd been im my shoes.

You obviously care a little as you've felt the need to comment.

By caring little, it doesn't make me happy, or sad, or anything in the middle really. Definitely won't be losing any sleep over it.

I comment because I can. That makes me happy.

Perhaps my original comment falls in the same category? Don't be thinking I'm losing any sleep, because Mrs S can assure you it is certainly not the case.

Your concern is well appreciated though.

Depends. Are you geographically situated somewhere which gives you an insight into this?

Verbs, I think the point Deano's trying to make (I hope you don't me saying this, Deano, I know you can speak for yourself), is that comments about where you live being a factor in one's knowledge are ridiculous, and for Deano, they just happen to be bait he can't seem to resist.

I don't think he takes them as a personal slight. In fact, resorting to those sorts of statements are more an indicator of the person who makes them in the first place. The last resort of the scoundrel, as you will.

I'm a N.S.W resident too!!!

I reckon the regular footy goers who actually pay attaention to the tactical side of things do, know more than me. If I wasn't a regular on these forums I would know absolutely nothing. I have little to no footy conversation with my mates and I hardly-ever make it to the games.

Since I've been posting on these forums I have learnt so much about my boys..and it usually comes from the game goers.

That's my opinion.

Spot on. Why is every one else able to sum up what I'm thinking better than me?

It's probably because I'm not allowed to swear, so that restricts a good 93% of my regular form of communication....
