Does anyone see the pattern which emerges when a Carlton player dares put on another guernsey? Or when a player, once hated, puts on a Carlton guernsey?

We are fans right?. We aren't coaches or managers, we are just fans. We are there to make up the numbers and cheer on our team when there is no hope. To adopt once hated enemies as our own and to shout abuse at our once loved.

The thing is this, as fans we aren't objective and we aren't well reasoned. How is at that we can cheer on a player, get his autograph and hail him as a hero one week only to abuse him a couple of months later?. Did you guys not cheer when Campo kicked a goal? Did you not Hate Dennis Pagan's guts when he coached North?

In my eyes the reality is this. We are all flower, don't get me wrong, we are full of passion, love and energy, but fanatical, hypocritical flower nonetheless. So why get on our highhorses at one another and attack the substance of eachothers posts, why attack a logic that doesn't even exist?!

Be cool and be blue. That is all.

BB- Most of the stuff posted on here is pretty tongue in cheek sort of stuff- How boring would this site be if we all agreed with one another. Generally if someone goes over the top the Mods punt them .

I havent seen or found one post on here that I find offensive yet

Lighten up BB and dont take it also seriously

Generally when fans boo an ex player it is a little tongue in cheek. I recall Justin Murphy getting booed a bit when he was at Geelong even when he had no choice in the matter.
Having said that when Hamill returned to Princes Park for the first time he copped it pretty bad so much so that he wouldn't go near the fence at the Heatley Stand side.
I think Campo is gonna get a pretty big roasting too this year.

Plenty of other things in life you should take far more seriously than this place and footy in general BB.
Just have a laugh and a  at the "flower" here and move onto the next thread. :)

Yeah, people cheered Campo over the past 10 years.

But that was before he walked out on the club.

I would never EVER boo a player who was traded away unwillingly (a-la Murphy), but the Hamill's and Campo's of this world undo any good work they have done in one single act of greed, and in the process piss on the very supporters that have cheered them over the years.

Call it fickle, call it adaptive, call it what you like.

Ask any woman - 10 years of good work can be undone in an instant

My sentiments exactly.

I followed Murph keenly when the poor bugger was traded to Geelong, and then at Essendon*. I have nothing against loyal club servants who handle themselves in an appropriate manner.

Campo and Hamill however did all they could to spit on the club and it's fans. I will go hoarse abusing Campo this year, don't you worry about that.

Same here, I've never booed an ex CFC player if they were traded by the club. The ones who turn their back on the club are the ones I reserve my booing for.

All players when they switch clubs get a little good natured "booing" when they play against their old side, its been happening for years.

Deano has succinctly explained why Campo and "Shithead" will forever incur the vitriolic fury of all Carlton Supporters when they play us - they shit in the clubs and in our collective faces.

No amount of "I needed a fresh start" type bullshit will mask that.

Fellow vitriolic supporters start your engines.

Am planning a trip to Sydney vs Essendon* this year, in full navy blue regalia just to abuse Cancereale... if he gets a game of course.

In fact I recall when triple Premiership player Neil Chandler was cleared to St. Kilda in the early 70's I recall his first game for St. Kilda against Carlton at Princes Park he was given a warm round of applause.

Make sure you are standing nice and close to the fence so he can get a good look at you.

That's the plan!

Did it to scumbag dog judas prick Hamill a few years ago - such was the level of abuse he turned around and looked at me wondering why he was copping such a spray at the SCG. I think the navy blue gove the game away

Nope, not at all. He was one of the coaches who I liked watchign his team play, and said, from about 2000 onwards, geez, I'd love Pagan to come to Carlton, he'd be great for the club"

Of course, My North-loving mate said that would NEVER happen

I liked him more at North too, I wish he was still there.

As garth might say: :garthp:
