Despite getting a laugh out of the irony of Braddles saying thanks but no thanks for second time to the red and black (I work with a Bomber who insists Essendon* knocked back Bradley in the 80s  ), I actually agree with Synbad's point

I applied for a job back in 97, had an interview, was then offered the job and said "thanks, but no thanks". Guess that makes me a really bad person. I forsee a few sleepless nights ahead for me. :(

CK, wouldn't that be a worse argument than what actually happened though? To turn your back on 375 brilliant games is hardly something to brag about? What's his argument - that Braddles wasn't good enough?

I'm not saying anything about his 375 games…just that the decision he's made in this particular instance is poor form

Verbs you were a bad person well before 97

Maybe Bradley didnt want to work with or under Gary Ayres...I think Essendon* fans can look forward to a cycle similar to what we have experienced...not one of Sheedys better moves IMO.

Well, I reckon he could tell you Ratten hasnt been at Melbourne since 2004. :?

Surely your "balanced view" would know that.

Yeah, sorry! I take more notice of Carlton than other teams. Huge mistake of mine, that one

Just raising a point mate.

We really cover some important issues here, don't we!!

Exactly my point! Who gives a flying @#$%&!!! :!:

Braddles is a disgrace and his life membership should be taken from him.

BTW, Synbad, had fish and chips last night mate. But all things in moderation, you gotta have a good balance.

No, CK, I was referring to your Essendon* 'friend' and trying to get mileage out of Essendon* supposedly rejecting Bradley back in the 1980's. I just couldn't see how someone could brag about that.

As for your comment above, we don't know whether it was just an expression of interest and a brief chat about things. He may have wanted to think it over for a while, and well, you know how the Essendon* marketing machine works... it suddenly became a big thing. Just like Henneman, Johns and now Heffernan.

Point taken Molsey

Although I doubt even the Essendon* spin doctors could create a bigger phenomena than the entity that is Courtney Johns….
