Methinks a fair degree of hypocrisy from Aaron. He was given the honor of wearing the jumpe,r of the man he so clearly admires, yet chose to forsake it for pieces of silver!

If you remove the emotion from Hamill's departure it's an interesting piece in some ways. There's no doubt we were blessed in the Kernahan era, not only with Sticks' ability to lead, but with the other senior players around him as well. Hamill declares he prefers that style of leadership, but perhaps in some ways Kernahan was a bad example for him to give. In the AFL at the moment there are maybe only 5 or so guys in the league that could compare to Kernahan as the standout leader at his club. Riewoldt may get there in time for the Saints, but IMO, he's not there yet, and nor is anyone else at the club.

How dare he, HOW @#$%&! DARE HE, even mention the name of the great Stephen Kernahan.

@#$%&! pathetic snide back stabbing mercenary fuckbag isn't worthy to even THINK the name Stephen Kernahan, let alone mutter it to give context to St Kilda's mindless rotation policy.

The sooner this prick flowers off and retires and shuts his pig-ignorant mouth the better.

As an aside, it's good to see the 'natural leader' Hamill publicly bad mouthing his coaches captaincy policy.

I wear my heart on my sleeve when it comes to this prick, you know that Camel :-D

He chose to spit on Carlton and the number worn by Sticks with such distinction. Hamill chose to turn his back on that so I'd much prefer it if he didn't mention our great club in any way, shape or form when referring to the pathetic shadow of a club he's involved with now.

I'm with you Deano - how dare he even mention Kernahan's name.

not sure about riewoldt - but i agree generally with what you are saying

roo from adeliade
hall from syndey
voss from brisbane

and possibly tredrea fom port

but the first 3 especially are in the sticks mould. can win a game for you and will have everyone in the team prepared to run through a brick wall for you.

riewoldt - nope - we all saw who riewoldt was when he had a sook. same may suggest that is a hard point of view. but he is the captain of the team and you can never ever be seen to be "weak"

Typical Hamill. He can't actually say anything. If you read the article one second he's praising the rotation then he's praising a long term captain.

Take a flower stance you girl. Too scared to offend cornflakes.

That was pretty much my list too, although *strike me down* I reckon Hirdeeeeee could get a gig in that list as well.

Couldn't agree more. This piece of shit should never be allowed to mention our club or club champions.

Agree with Deano. He was touted as the next captain or our club, also in the Sticks mould when he was there - then chose to shit on the jumper the way he did. No respect.

Haha, is anyone going to comment on the content of the article or are you all just going to rant and rave about the past until Deano gets his 10 page thread?

Sometime well into the future an old man will look at the memorabilia from his playing career and whistfully (perhaps with a tear in his eye) remember the little boy growing up around the leafy streets of the nations capital wearing a Navy Blue jumper.

Or maybe he will take a contented look at his bank account.

A little further on in the future when he is lying on his deathbed which memory will give him greater comfort, only he can answer that question and that answer will be the true reflection of his character.

I actually couldn't work out if he was sure of his own stance there....
It seemed he really didn't want to offend Cornflakes, and didn't want to be seen to praise Carlton's structure......
But I am glad someone had some balls in that structure to tell Thomas the idea is stupid....

As far as Hamill being around - I'm happy he's in their team, it gives me much joy to boo every time he gets the ball.... :-D
