An uplifting article from today's Herald Sun:

Interesting ... Josh Houlihan at the Bullants - another quality pickup!

I hope he can fire this year and the experiment with playing him on the back flank has finished.

But since he has bulked up he now has no excuses if we see another Lance Franklin incident when the ball is there to be won.

Lets hope its not a case of looking like Tarzan and playing like Janey..I guess you have to give him some credit for the work he has put in and at least he has a realistic view of where he is in his career.
I'll be surprised if he makes it as a genuine midfielder but I wont knock him for trying and putting the effort in....not yet anyway....

We could have done without the quote at the end about him working in a clothes store. :P

I think he would be great on a wing. I don't think he will ever have the game to be an inside mid. But not everyone has to be!

I also think he would be great fitting me into a new suit! :P

From what I understand Pagan will adopt a more possession oriented game plan this season and will rest the likes of Stevens and Kouta more than in the past.

With this in mind, Hoops will get his share of time on the ball. I'd imagine he'd play on the Wing a bit, and probably on a HFF. I'm sure Fev and the other forwards would appreciate his kicking skills down in the forward line.

Lets just hope he puts his head over the ball 100% of the time and has learned his lesson.

Don't worry; her pussy dries out pretty quickly.

Was at training today, at the end, when everyone was going off, Houla was by himself at the other end of the ground puking his guts out, he worked himself sick today, he really wants it.

I've bagged the shit of him in the past and I think he's extremely lucky to be still on the list but it's good to see he is at least giving himself the best possible preparation for this season. That's all I can ask for from him atm.
Training 100% will mean jackshit for Ryan if he doesn't give 100% during the real stuff. I wish him the best.

Good to hear! There is nothing like puking your guts out on the training track to show commitment.

Did it several times in my local footy career..... more due to eating too many Big Macs before training than any sort of strenuous training though.

There would be no one more rapt than me if Hoops kills 'em this year.

He's always had the talent....bring him on!

When he casually runs in from the flank and goals it just looks so damn easy a la Rhys.
