Can't remember wanting a person to make it so much before other than Livo.

Yeah really hope Livo can make some sort of an impact this year. It's gonna be hard for him to keep his spot on the list with all the talls we've got now and if he doesn't survive at the end of the year I hope we can find a trade for him so he gets another chance at another club. But in saying that I hope he really turns it on this year and stays a bluebagger coz he seems a real goer.

I'm so hoping Livo can make a real name for himself, that way when Hamill retires with arthritic hips and no Premiership medal in a year or so we'll still have Livo to remember him by

One of the biggest cult heroes since Verbeek I reckon. People just seem to love the guy, and have evrything crossed hoping he makes it.

I know, cos I'm one of 'em. GO LIVO!!!!!!

A part from being a nice guy, the main reason we all want him too make it so much is the fact that we used our Number 4 pick on him, that combined with the fact we received that when we lost that asshole makes Livo succeeding more important too us.

He is a nice guy, and sure for his and the clubs sake I hope he does well, but lets not lose sight of the real reason we want him too succeed,

am i being too harsh :?:

Still good luck Livo

Guys heaven knows i hope Livo ' makes it ' ... but seriously we have to look at facts. The bloke is clumsy eg: getting into defenders backs when he is running. He is uncoordinated, has woeful skills honestly as much as id like to see him hold down a key back position, i cant see it happening. Granted the bloke has had injuries and is a nice bloke and all that, the bottom line is in my opinion he just doesnt have the coordination, skills or pace to go with big key forwards. In my opinion our backline should be :

Carrazzo Thornton McGrath
Lappin Saddington Walker

Teague coming off the bench or maybe Wiggins only because he tries hard.

More than happy if Livo sticks it up me, but we can only go by what we have seen and what ive seen is he isnt in our best 6 backmen in my eyes.

I don't recall Livo being clumsy, but I do admit that his disposal looks a little rushed most of the time.
I do see him given a raw deal by the umpires, particularly when he outmuscles someone with a reputation for strength such as Gehrig, the umpires seem to automatically assume he could only have gotten the upper hand illegally. It pisses me off.

Don't foget Bannister wants to play CHB... eventually... as well. I'd be happy to see him in the backline before Livo.

Not much room there if Whitnall goes there too for a spell...

That backline posted is too small.Whitnall will play back a fair bit this year.I think Setanta could play in defence and if possible Thornton should play on a flank and be given the freedom to play on a player roughly his size.

You may find Walker playing back flank at times too giving us more run out of defence.

I hope Livo makes it but I personally dont think he is up to it.At the same time he has had a terrible run with injuries so a fit Livo with an un interrupted season may just deliver. This is his last chance particularly if Edwards and Bower come on quickly.

I really hope we are not having the same discussion this time next year.
Will Livo make it, will he make it!

The time is now and he has enough experience to cope better if he does suffer injuries. He's not the only one to get an injury during a year!

It's time he grew up as a player, believed in himself! I have seen snippets of potential, though i am skeptical as to whether he will make it.

It's time to deliver Livo, how many chances do you need!!

Livo is still going to be important for us this season - none of our other defenders has the sheer muscle bulk required to handle some of the larger specimens in opposing forward lines.
However, size and character onlt take you so far. Livo has to really show this year that he deserves a spot on our list. If he gets back to 2004 form, he is a shoo in. If he can't, he will be displaced some time in the next 2 seasons, as our youngsters bulk up and take on the responsibility.

Personally, I think he can do it. He was doind OK until injury struck in 2005. He is competing better, not just standing on the mark. He is strong enough NOT to be just pushed aside. I like that.

Luke is only 23 and not 24 till November.

He has taken a long time to get over that 2004 back injury; and if he's injury free.....who knows?

Confidence is a major part of a players makeup.
