I believe Cripps and Cerra are not in good form. Apart from being selfish, Cripps was under the weather last week, so expect Cerra to make way for Ben. Only bc Priestly said we want a good look at our youth over next 7 weeks.

If HOF, Carroll, Cowan and Moir are all in maybe they thought that was enough young players in one go?

Edit: also considering it will be Wilson and F Youngs second AFL game

Lord and Hollands are young too.

That’s 8/23 players who are under 21, in some cases 19, or played less than 2 games.

That is a team not playing to win.

ITS A REBUILD. Reminds me of our 2016 team.

Good point, but everyone was saying our team last week was our oldest by average age since 1944, does anyone have proof of that?

The Blues, who were already set to be without Jack Silvagni (groin) and Adam Saad (groin) for Friday night’s clash at the MCG, are also without Jordan Boyd, Alex Cincotta, Billy Wilson and Lewis Young who are omitted.

Coming in are Matt Carroll, Lachie Cowan, Harry O’Farrell, Ashton Moir, Marc Pittonet and Francis Evans.

Bit surprised to see Wilson get the lemon & sars.

Not that he was great or whatever. Just thought we might try him in that completely unaccountable role that Docherty currently occupies. Same type of role that saw him promoted.

Just a typical gutless selection from match committee

Bringing in 4 players who are under 21 is gutless? What did you expect?

He has been excellent in the VFL. If you want selection integrity, you promote players who are giving 100% and performing well. He deserves the recall.

True but he ain’t the future
He has had enough chances
Fantasia has been ok but again he ain’t the future
Wilson is not listed as injured
Cincotta being dropped
@#$%&! me
Wouldn’t have anything to do with Fantasia and Evans being PA boys
Pitto in is another dumb selection

Or maybe the fact Fantasia was our highest goal scorer last week and second highest the week before? In a team struggling to kick goals?
Nah, that can't be it. Must be the nonsensical conspiracy shit you're sprouting.

I don't get it. If we made no changes people would be bitching and moaning. They make multiple changes including bringing in 4 kids and people bitch and moan. :screwy:

To replace an under 21 and two 26 year olds is hardly revolutionary given the number of players left who are 29 and over.

Note: I was surprised that Cincotta is 28, for some reason I thought he was more like 24 or younger.

Edit: also Evans and Pittonet are hardly “youth”.

You would think so, yet no mention in the injury report and was explicitly mentioned as “dropped”, as was Boyd.

Hopefully Evans or Docherty are sub.

Very disappointed with Young, Boyd, Wilson and Cincotta being dropped.

Young was the only one who stood up for Saad.

Some very strange selections here.

It’s as if someone like Mathieson said “pick the kids” and they all jumped.
