apart from when we beat a top 4 side, that's called noise in the signal.

Hopefully Evans or Docherty are sub.

Very disappointed with Young, Boyd, Wilson and Cincotta being dropped.

Young was the only one who stood up for Saad.

Some very strange selections here.
Cincotta last 2 opponents Butters and Daniel

Hmm mm

Wonder why he was dropped

Bringing in 4 players who are under 21 is gutless? What did you expect?

To replace an under 21 and two 26 year olds is hardly revolutionary given the number of players left who are 29 and over.

Note: I was surprised that Cincotta is 28, for some reason I thought he was more like 24 or younger.

Edit: also Evans and Pittonet are hardly “youth”.

He was already 26 when he made the list.

Not the worst changes.
I'd have preferred we dropped Doc and Acres TBH.
And kept Boyd and Young over Pitto.
But I guess it is all about match ups also.

7 players aged 21 or younger. Collingwood 0
Another 2 inexperienced players with less than 50 games.
No, let's just send a heap of kids out there and let them be slaughtered.
I'm sure some of you people just aimlessly bitch for the sake of it.

WTF. Why is Jordy Boyd dropped, again!! One of the few who can deliver the ball and provides run an carry. Does his job in the 1ns and always among the best in the 2s. A better option than Fantasia or (currently) Acers

Don't know about resting but 6 outs…

Alongside Saad [concussion 2-3 wks out] and Silvagni [injured], Jordan Boyd, Alex Cincotta, Billy Wilson and Lewis Young (all omitted) make way.

So no big name/pay players have been offended. Heck they might run off to some other club if we held any leaders accountable.

Harsh on Cinc most taggers struggle to make any impact against Butters. I do hope Jagga's self-identification as a Butters fan materialises as a Butters clone in '26. Didn't watch 3/4s of the game so not sure why others were dropped…

Ins:
Lachlan Cowan, Ashton Moir, Matthew Carroll, Francis Evans, Harry O'Farrell, Marc Pittonet

All deserve a run on form. But a great way to kill the form of Evans and Moir is to throw them to the wolves. I'm sure they're extremely excited to get another opportunity, esp. Evens who will be hard to justify on the list for 26 given his '25 appearances. But CFC seems to be running on hopium at this point so good luck with that.

Quote:
Rounding out the inclusions is ruckman Marc Pittonet, giving the Blues an extra physical presence around the ball.

Knew they'd pick Pitto over Lemmy last time he played in seniors. Extra presence around the ball, meaning what? TDK plays as an invisible forward option again? If TDK is a $1.1-1.7 m player he doesn't need a FT ruck for the chop out (I acknowledge H is out of the team I'd have rather played Young as a Forward/Ruck than Pitto, no b/c he's terrible but b/c TDK is our first choice rusk and if he continues to fail in that role as a FT-ruck then "bye bye, Tom, take SOS's money and run mate"

He has been excellent in the VFL. If you want selection integrity, you promote players who are giving 100% and performing well. He deserves the recall.

True but he ain’t the future
He has had enough chances
Fantasia has been ok but again he ain’t the future
Wilson is not listed as injured
Cincotta being dropped
@#$%&! me
Wouldn’t have anything to do with Fantasia and Evans being PA boys
Pitto in is another dumb selection

Wilson got a taste and will work on being able to manage the physical requirement (he was badly cramping)
Cincotta has a hip issue that has hampered him and they must have felt he needs rest or whatever.
Pittonet is needed because TDK can't manage currently

Wilson a bit stiff and I'm not keen on Pittonet however am happy to see the inclusion of Moir, Cowan and O'Farrell.
With DeGoey, Sidebottom and Hill missing for the Pies I think we are an outside chance if we can quell the influence of Nick Daicos - easier said than done I know.

So out: 19, 26, 26, 27, 28, 30 year olds

In: 19, 19, 20, 20, 23, 29 year olds

This is a “youth refresh”? There’s plenty of older players in the team who seem to be untouchable.

I have no doubt Priestley’s Board has its fingerprints on this team.
They have seen enough of this game plan or the players or both.
They want to make the right decisions at the end of the year.
They want a return on their investment, and show some leadership.
Something bereft of this playing group.

Reminds me of our green shoots teams between 2016-19.
So many inexperienced young players.
It is what it is. Take the reigns off and let them surprise.

TDK got beaten against Cameron last time.
Cameron BOG. Pitto coming in is a sign Voss got some his way.
I didn’t have a problem with L. Young v Cameron. Fair enough.

Great reward to the best players in vfl, Evans Moir. Actually surprised Charleson didn’t get a look, maybe in place of Doc.

Would have liked to have seen the future:

O’Farrrell Weitering Charleson
Carroll Silvagni Wilson

I hope Hollands is our AA wingman, or he can stay in the backline squad

I think the big dogs would have been dropped if they were playing in a top 10 team, but survived to give us some seniority. They have a lot to prove: Cripps TDK Curnow Cerra Gov Weiters

I like the selections. Feel for Chinka. He may have done big bad last week v Butters or not match fit yet.

I hope to see our two best of the foreign legion, Haynes and Hewett not in the best 3 again, this week. The Sydney boys have showed us culture, skills and resilience.

Pies have 3 tall forwards and expect Harry O to be a starter. Cowan will probably take Membrey.

Run Blue boys run. Strut your stuff. Go for broke. We could surprise with something different.
I expect to see BVs call with Crippa in the ruck

Graham Wright is watching you.

after missing two easy shots (in first qtr IIRC) he played well last week, topped the AF points tally with 143 (his average is half that, 79.2) and kicked three goals. he was in everything. whether he can do it against a Top 1 AFL side…?

other stats: D: 24, K: 20, HB: 4, i50s: 8, DE:68%, CP: 10, UP: 12

I will repeat again for those who struggle to comprehend.
Wilson went off injured in the 3rd quarter and didn't make it on the ground in the last.

Might not been a injury that warranted being on injury list but enough for him to miss

The inclusions one hundred percent deserve a crack going on Magoo form . That's selection integrity .

That's a 26-year reduction, an average of 4.33 years per player. I'd say it's a significant rejuvenation.

So it won't be our oldest team in 80 years like last week was?
