Interesting what Buckley had to say about Elliott....

Quote:
The return of Howe was critical to helping a disorganised defence find some connection, he said.

“They are reliant on Jeremy Howe and they have been for a long time. Jeremy Howe is the glue for the back half and his connection with Scott Pendlebury, who is the glue for the midfield whose connection to Jamie Elliott, who is the glue for the forward line. They are your pieces from a leadership aspect,” Buckley said on SEN.

“That’s understood and demonstrated. You don’t always know who are the glue guys that pull it all together.

Funny you mention Vlastuin coz I posted him awhile back and got shitcanned . I agree Des , Vlastuin is tough and hard and a bloody good footballer to go along with that . And he is a winner . Fantastic player .

The only knock I'd have on Vlastuin is he is a defender and we need a mature head in the forward line, so personally I'd be looking there first.
I think Weiters is doing a pretty good job down back but I wouldn't say no if Vlastuin wanted to walk to us.

IMO we'd be mad not to catch up for a coffee with him.

Jordan Lewis to Dees and Luke Hodge to Lions were both packmen and there presence paved the way for the Flags that followed . Vlastuin has the mongrel factor in common with Lewis and Hodge which is the clincher in the deal . Hell , I would even take Nankervis for the same reason .

Buku Khamis seeking a fresh start outside of the Dogs.

I'd be very interested, even if we didn't have the issues with JSOS/HOF

I’d take Nank too, Mick. He and HOK could ruck for the next couple of season till HOK can go it alone.

Reckon a few blokes would walk a little taller too!

Might be a bit retro but Liam Jones might be available ....
With HOF injured and Jack S p##sing off he'd be good insurance if we can't convince 1 or 2 ready made tallish defenders to come across
Picking at straws now but we might be more in the beggars camp than the choosers

Love this snippet today's HeraldSun ....

"Collingwood is adamant the Silvagni offer is not about offering more than Carlton, keen for him to cross clubs only for the right reasons to play with friends in a premiership window"

To Play with Friends ........ WTF !!! I'll let it there

Totally agree with all of that.
I just see the leadership hole we have at the other end of the ground.
Nankervis would be a good get also.
I still like the idea of adding that pumper Lynch, he plays unsociable football also, plus opposition teams couldn't cover 3 gun talls even with our mids dumping kicks into F50 99% of the time.

No way to Lynch - he's no leader, he's a petulant flog. Last game he played he had something like 0 touches and 4 frees against in the first half, and got himself a 5 week holiday. @#$%&! him sideways.
