Murph is more switched on than most past players we've had on the board (and probably half of the suits too).

Having said that, that doesn't mean he's necessarily fit for the role.

I don't hate it, I just hope the people making these decisions know what they're doing.

Speaking of which - our current president. He doesnt instill me with any confidence. He looks so meek and mild. Anyone know him more that can shed any light on his character?

The latest is Marc Murphy is set to join the Board . A good Carlton board always has a sprinkling of past players on it . Hopefully another to come . Squeeze Fitzy in there and I''ll shut up ................... past players are essential for a smooth running Board for mine . Essential .

Maybe a high-flying Marc is just what this board needs.

Nothing is coming out of the Club Cam but that's what I'm hearing . Could be BS . Still like to see a couple of past players on the Board whether they be high flyers or not . You can have all the latest state of the art facilities but its a hollow shell if the place has no heart and soul . Past players bring that with them . Check out our successful era's and you will find the committee's littered with past players . A lot of them weren't champions and not necessarily high flyers .

Apparently Luke and Vossy were on the turps together last weekend at France Soir in Toorak Rd Sth Yarra . Luke is obviously keeping his ear to the ground . Orchestrating a comeback perhaps . I"d keep well away if I was Vossy . If you believe some of the stuff going around Luke is on the nose in the top end of town .

Not sure if this is the thread for it, but I thought it was pretty amateur for the club to email all members saying "please confirm your details to go into a prize draw, we have your address as [X] and your date of birth [Y], click here to confirm!". Maybe I'm paranoid, but at my work we're forbidden from sending customer PII via email because it's not considered a secure enough communication channel, so having the club splash the whole lot on my outlook front page with no encryption was a bit jarring.

That’s got scam written all over it.

At worst it’d be “log in and confirm your details to enter the draw”

The days of clicking links in emails are goneski.

Unless the prize is an hour with Weitering’s bank account…

Don't stress GE. They sent me your details by accident so I've confirmed on your behalf. Good luck with the free guernsey!

I was just ignoring my corporate phishing awareness training that was running on my other screen as I read these posts

Indeed it's amateur hour sending those detail in an email, but I didn't get mine so looks like you've been targeted

The "from" address and link URL (which I didn't click, but viewed source) seemed legitimate. And if it was a scam, then it's a bit concerning that they had my details right. Wait, TC is completely insecure... hmm, on second thoughts I am RELIEVED because they had my details COMPLETELY WRONG. Phew!

The DOB they stated in mone appears to be in mm/dd/yyyy format

I'm willing to complain about that alone

I just split the old Sayers thread from the date of Priestly's appointment. Then I saw that CK95 started a thread for Priestly, so merged it with the split thread.

There might be some old Sayers content in here, but, oh well.

Here's the link announcing Priestly's appointment back in Feb: https://www.carltonfc.com.au/news/17136 ... tball-club

Here's the link to the old Sayers thread: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=33949
