Re Warner..he owes them nothing.

A straight swap for Warner and the Swans keep all their draft picks.
That’s fair.
Two A graders swap.

Carlton can even take the other Warner so he doesn’t get homesick.

Getting list cloggers… jeez… like Florent . if they are that stupid I’d be amazed.
That clown on Fox Brad Johnson? “Excellent addition” to get Florent.
These people are mental.
“Looks overs to me” said ex-Swan Gerard Healy with a straight face. As in the Swans are giving up too much. Jeez.. I laughed.

Carlton are being played as the dopes that they seemingly are.

Geelong might be sneaky tomorrow.. We’ll see.

Tapin thank you :)

Florent basically played VFL this season, has the fifth worst disposal (or is it kick?) in the comp and couldn't get a senior game in a team that missed finals by some margin.

Hayward - IMO underwhelming. Knocked us back recently. Does not want to leave Sydney

Asking for Pick 22 back? LMFAO - they are taking the piss - that kills the future first par of this already horrible deal.

Curnow - two-time Coleman medalist - in let's admit it, a team that has (politely putting it) "trouble" with its disposal efficiency etc.

Just imagine for a minute what Curnow's value is to Sydney with the quality of their midfield? He will win the Coleman again - almost guaranteed.

Swans - get real and come back with something that comes close to market value here.

I'd be a little more interested with Campbell, Pick 11 and a future first.

On the flipside - I will be livid if the club folds and accept this current "offer"

Can you please back up your source on that disposal/kicking stat on Florent.

I saw it in a couple of the plethora of articles etc that have come out on this trade and in social media. Sorry I didn't take a link.

Regardless, its true Florent isnt best 22 for them and played basically VFL this season.

Carlton has knocked it back so obviously they dont like it either and so they shouldn't

Chad Warner for Curnow. That seems feasible.

Warner to WCE
Curnow to Swans
Picks 1 & 2 to Carlton

Pick 22 to Sydney for Swans future 2nd.

OK, I'm interested now

Florent played 16 games for Swans this year.

As for Kicking efficiency in 2025.

Blakey 75.8
Hayward 67.4
Florent 66.9

McInerney 64.1
Gulden 63.4
Campbell 59.3
Heeney 57.7
Warner 53.0

OK, you don't want Florent as part of the Charlie trade.
We don't have to. We can get him another way. He would still help out our cause in 2026-2029.

Lets hope we do get our man or men... Humphrey or Humphries

I don't mind that at all...Hayward, Humphrey Florent F1 and F2 for Charlie and F3.

Deal done

YES!!!

We have cleared the decks for a clean start in 2026 with professionals who want to win a Flag and represent the jumper with distinction.

Next big decision for club is Lij.

I'm in the keep Lij camp but would understand them delisting him.

I posted earlier in the year that I wanted a clean out and aggressive trading this off season and to send a message to the playing group.

I preferred to keep Curnow and dump Harry, but after the way he's handled himself, I'm glad to see the back of him.

I hope Harry can stay fit and thrive as the sole tall and prove me wrong now.

Hawthorn is in talks with Carlton on a pick swap for the Blues’ pick 22. Bundling up picks, including the pick 42 they just got for Jiath from Melbourne, to see if they can get 22 from Carlton. Then the likely look would be 9 and 22 gets thrown at Essendon*… @TradeRadio

I too hope we keep E H, everyone deserves an opportunity to make the best possible of their existence.
If he can be serious about being part of CFC , convince his teammates, Graham Wright and Chis Davies he wants another shot, then we should retain Lij.

A trade taking Ollie Florent to Carlton has been agreed independently to a trade for Charlie Curnow. The Blues will send the Swans a future third-round pick for Florent. @AFLcomau
@traderadio

Got him!!!!!

He's cheap for what he offers us, and we wont be using F3 next year if we are intending to go into defecit to get Walker over the line, and upgrading 2 rookies (Charleson and O'Keefe)

Wonder what sort of coin is involved given his big contract at the Swans.

Have a guess.

Charlie wants $900K pa.

Haywood was offered 5years @ $800 by Carlton
Swans played loyalty card and matched the 5 years @ $650, maybe less.

Florent was unrestricted and wanted security in Sydney, hence a 5 year contract on minimal money.

https://www.sydneyswans.com.au/news/1543376/florent-signs-on-long-term

Quote:
Florent is one of the most durable players in the competition, having played 100 consecutive AFL games, ahead of his 150th match this weekend against GWS in the Sydney Derby.

The 25-year-old was originally drafted with pick no.11 in 2016, making his debut for the club the following season in Round 1, 2017. Since then, he has been a staple in the Swans back six, cementing himself on the half-back flank.

The speedster has earnt a reputation for bursting off half-back with pace and delivering the ball with precision into the forward line.

Watch the video of the two walking their dogs around the corner from my place. Ironic.

You think he's on more than $400K?

Was there confusion between the Curnow and Florent trades? Is Curnow really leaving?

The trade between Hawthorn and Carlton is pretty much complete.

The crux of it is the Hawks will slide from 9 to 10, and get Carlton's 22.

The Blues would move up from 10 to 9 and get 42 from the Hawks.

Cannot be true, one spot up and giving away a 2nd rounder for a third
