He was an absolute gun a few years ago but I'm still having nightmares about his final qtr against Coll at the end of the season...

May is such an enigma. He is a touch mad, but shite he can play. A 1 year contract would be very interesting. I would certainly get all the negativity, but I'm sure Weits would love him down back.

I mean let's look at it............May vs Young/Gov. It is a no brainer. I feeeeeel diiiiiiiirrrrrrty saying it............but worth a look for a year.

:yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

Yeah I will cop the abuse. But in my defense.................it is shite scary to think of Weits falling over during the season.

I'm with you Cazz however as pointed out he's still on the list at the Demons.

Weitering needs support.

WE are desperate for a KPD to play as of round 1, IF, better than Lewis Young.

Derksen robably bumped out by Aleer's surprise renaissance in Orange.

197cm intercept mark, sounds great, but what's he like one on one as a KPD?

Maybe same reason we didnt take Aleer: Not a KPD.

I know nothing of him. Ive PMed a best mate of a GWS player for his opinion.

Don't mind Cordy . He seems to be similar to Dawson , Finlayson , and Frost . All not bad players who slot into that CHB spot . I would be taking one of them . Which one I'm not sure . Gotta think about that . Toss up between Cordy and Frost as my first pick with Finlayson third and a bit of a gap to Dawson .

The main thing about Cordy is he has some good old fashion mongrel in him as a backman. He plays within his limitations. Keeps it simple. He locks down and makes sure his pointy elbows find their mark from time to time. He kicks the ball fairly well and his marking is reliable.

He played 8 games last year and only 1 this year. Does he have injury issues?

Or were the Saints just breaking his baws?

On top of that he was a member of the Dogs 2016 Premiership team . Imagine that , a player on our list that is a Premiership player who has has achieved the ultimate success and knows what it takes . Im all on board . Very good call Bluechampion .

Not to mention a few kgs. And he already looks plenty solid for an 18 year old.

Steven May is a dual All Australian. He's 193cm.
Matthew Scarlett was All Australian 6 times. He was 192cm. Cal Wilkie is 191cm. Alex Rance at 194cm was 5 times All Australian.
Dean will be fine to play key defence in a couple of years. Defensive craft and the smarts to use the body are strengths he already possesses. The key is structural balance. Harry O'Farrell is 197cm and still growing. Give him a few years to build his body and the 2 of them will be the pillars of our defence well into the 2030's.
The pressing concern is to get a 197cm+ key defender in to help Weiters in the short term, while the youngsters build their bodies/games.
