There's not a lot the AFL does that doesn't come across as cringey or pathetically contrived. Their shitty "fix"ture is a glaring example

Rumours it's Fremantle on Anzac day (R7?) in Perth and Brisbane in Brisbane R9.

The Blues will feature in seven prime time games in the first 16 weeks.

Tough fixture this year, unlike last year.

Saints, Pies, Bulldogs, Dockers, Lions, Tigers all twice. So only one from bottom 6 twice.

OMG so we still don't get to play Sydney in Melbourne?!

Brisbane twice is a bit much seeing as we finished 11th.

We go interstate in rounds 1/5/7/9/11!!

At least we get a run of Melbourne games to finish.

5 day break before the Good Friday game too.

Really tough draw. Lots of tough road trips in the first 10 games.

AFL messed up not giving us the Swans twice. Would have been absolute cinema listening to the crowd get up Charlie at the G

Surely it would've made more sense for us to play Sydney twice instead of the Lions twice. Pricks.

Also, zero 1:30pm games thus far, which sucks for those with very young kids. I get we are more of a prime time team, but give us at least one early game in the first half of the season.

And then only 6 days until we open gather round in Adelaide. I know Adelaide isn't that far, but still, an extra day would've been nice.

I’m not about to run the strength of schedule numbers, but that would have to be up there.

Top 6 - 9 games
Middle 6 (us) - 7 games
Bottom 6 - 7 games

They made a point of changing the criteria to fit up to four return games in your own bracket. We got two (Saints, Dogs) & they’re both at @#$%&! Marvel. Carlton v Hawthorn twice would’ve sold 60,000 extra tickets, at least.

Yep and having a bye after Round 2 when it is least needed early in the season.
Only a 5 day break for our Good Friday match vs North Melbourne (North get 6 days).
I think we'll have no problem landing Cody Walker.

That is not quite right. Dockers, Bulldogs and Saints all finished Middle 6.

2 doubles vs Top 6 (I think pies regress)
3 doubles vs Middle 6 (incl Saints who improve); and
1 double vs Bottom 6

It’s a split of the ladder, so finals don’t count.

Freo finished 6th.
