CD said that we won’t be participating in the rookie draft today. I think we have a single rookie spot which will be held for SSP.

Frank, surely that has to be a given with Phillips and Paea training on.

1. Sign Walshy ASAP before the Media beat up begins.
2. Sign Butters
3. Draft Cody.

Nice.

PS. Get Harry O'Farrell back on the park alongside Weiters and Deano.

I am not convinced Kemp and Duffy are Key Fwd's, I would have them as medium forwards.

Fair assessment.

Similar story with Lewis Young. I think (and I know for a fact that he does as well) he’s a really tall third tall. It’s a good mismatch… until he gets the ball.

I’ve listed the bookends according to what they’ll need to be, not necessarily what they are.

That's the ball game Cazz. Our list has a great base we can use as our springboard.
Very different to the catch up game SOS and Austin have been playing after so many failed trades and high end drafts.

Love that we can target high end quality players from the draft, instead of roughies eg Ollie, Cowan, Smith, Dean, Walker.

We are close to aa BIG FISH. I feel it will be Humphries, but if its Butters...FMD.

Some of the 16 contracts expiring in 2026 include Fogarty, McGovern, Young, Young, Boyd, whom I doubt will be required.
Also exprining contracts and heat on Evans, Saad and Williams to prove they have another year of good footy.
Hopefully we will be adding skilled depth to replace those players. Have 20 Under 23's with Walker next year, making it 21.

We will just keep improving, moving forward.

2025 has a couple more surprises to add too: SSP and an LTI replacement.
A KPD and a developing CHF would be perfect for our needs.

I like 4 rucks on the list of 45. I'd like a developing ruckman to add too, to take Pitto's spot when he retires end of 2027.

I use this profiling. It gives us a good overview.
Charleson 183 is shorter than Florent 184.

I think Lewis is a KPD. Proved it when Weitering was out injured. I do agree he's nowhere man with ball in hand.
Would like to see an improvement on Lewis after his last year, but very very grateful he's been on our list regardless of the negativity.
If Dean isnt ready for CHB, then I'm afraid Hayes, Kemp and Gov are all too short for Darcy, Hipwood types, and its Lewis' for the taking.

don't understand Austin and Co recruiting a 174 cm player When we NEED a 196 + key defender

Maybe they

A) didn't rate 1 in the draft

B) feel they might have one with either Phillips or Paea.

Because we need one right away, but not necessarily beyond this season.

Still can’t believe we passed on Glen Jakovich last night.

Onya for backing Lewis Young Bondi . I agree . Sure , he can be a bit shaky with ball in hand but despite that he has plenty of good attributes . And when he has been tested he stands up . Lewis is a good player to have on our list .

It’s giving Shark Tank vibes - someone’s offered the deal for 20% equity, but they can’t resist countering with 18%.

The club recruited a 194cm defender with a pretty decent wing span. You're literally upset over 2cms...take the deal!

As an aside, the 174cm kid will be a star.

Matthew Scarlett was 192cm.

Should we have knocked him back for 4cm?
