It’s imcompetent of the club not to have taken an insurance KPP mature big or two from somewhere, but yet they insist on small forwards or medium players with nothing special.

If weiters or harry go down, then thats it. We have no depth and list imbalance in that area.

We need time into O’Farrell and Dean.

Before you ask me from where. I am not a recruiter. But it should have been a priority the last few years now.

Can HOK play back ? He may need to at some point.

Fingers crossed for Weiters, we certainly cant afford to lose this guy.

Derksen?

They've got a handy midfielder named Finn Callaghan.

Yep Derksen is a possibility. But who knows if they will pick him. I also believe they will choose Hollands as they seem to only want to take one pick now.

I would have thought we would have taken two KPP for insurance in the SSP.

But here we are, we had White and Hollands only.

Just added Derksen recently. Like its so obvious we have no depth in the tall department.

These recruiters and decision makers are paid big bucks, and even us idiots know what we are missing.

perhaps you're right and the club has no idea.

I'm choosing otherwise and to trust them. we lost 3 'big' guys and ultimately for sensible reasons.

we picked up Dean and Derksen.....could we have done better? maybe, however I am also backing a much needed swing to faster/better ball movement.

We picked up Reidy. He is a direct replacement for TDK. I assume he is one of the 3 big guys you are referring to

What a brilliant outcome. Won’t miss many games if any at all.

Honestly thought the worst on Sat night and that our season was cooked.

Think it's time our fanbase dropped the woe is me victim mentality and built some resilience.

Other clubs have come out of this game much worse now.

So which of you eggheads can explain to me what the difference is between a broken rib and a ‘rib fracture’? Or is there no difference?

Hairline fracture vs a broken bone im guessing?

The former heals on its own whilst the latter requires treatment and a cast and sling?

A fractured rib typically takes about 4 to 6 weeks to heal in a healthy individual. Most rib fractures heal on their own without the need for surgery.

Maybe Rd 1 at best. Happy with that.

I always thought there was nothing they can do about a broken rib - you’ve just got to wait for it to heal. That’s what my quack told me when I had a broken rib anyway….

'a rib fracture' doesn't necessarily mean one broken rib, could still be 3

We'll see how long he misses. I don't have my hopes up he plays against Sydney

Thanks, yep I can’t see him training for a few weeks so OR might be a stretch. They might even play it safe and hold him back until after the round 2 bye?

I would have taken that result in a heartbeat on Saturday night…

It's not commonly known, but Jacob Weitering is an anagram of Jab Region Twice.

I suspect that's what the doctor will do, but have a feeling he'll still miss the Swans clash.

We have the whole season to think about. A month out for these types of injuries is normally about right...unless there's been some bone vibration caused by Virgin turbulence and then you're best to braise the ribs in a dutch oven. Do this the day before as they're often better the following day.

These (short) ribs are also called Jacob's Ladder. Could be a money spinner for the club.

Buy Jacob's Ribs! Pair it with some Jacob's Creek Cab Sav...delish! Melt-in-your-mouth! Limited time only...$23/kg.
