9000 down on same time last year.

I usually buy a few more memberships than I did (thus far) this year for friends' (converted) kids, fence sitters (not hardcore Blues yet) and extended family (the women). I haven't (yet) for a few reasons.

I didn't like missing out on Swans tickets because they were released earlier than usual, whilst I was overseas. If it wasnt for meeting TCers I would buy reserve seats on the wing rather than being boxed in the pocket with Carlton Members). I missed out altogether. Thanks to sinbagger and a Swans player who offered tickets for me, and my kids.

Also, I actually didn't enjoy being dictated to by the young man in our Membership Dept, telling me what I should be upgrading to. He failed to listen and seek to understand my situation before mouthing off. I told him two of the Memberships I was buying were for people overseas and not attending any games this year, and told him not to bother today re the other Memberships I usually purchase, to end the call.

I know he was doing his job for my team, and I appreciated that, but he wasn't interested in my situation enough for me to give him more of my time.

Don’t let one guy hold you back Bondi.

I reckon you should still buy those extra 9000 memberships…
