Don’t think we are making the 16.

The umpiring has gotten worse every single week.

Yes we won't need to match any bids on Cody Walker

Look they weren't terrible and seemed to have a bit more licence. But still some rudimentary mistakes. Its amateur hour when you essentially have two players alone in the goal square

I thought he went all right, showed cleaner hands than most and worked hard. Are you in Adelaide this weekend or were you watching on TV as well? On TV he was passable. Hard to tell how he did defensively.

I see McKay is copping pelters, but he worked his socks off, didn't shirk contests, and though the marks weren't sticking he brought it down and earned us a lot of F50 stoppages, so I'm not going to join the mob on this one.

Like someone mentioned, it's a mystery what happened to Ainsworth after a dynamite Q1. Could those at the ground tell us where he disappeared to? Did Adelaide make a defensive switch? Was he off injured?

Question: should we "manage" Jagga next week? Lord should be back, do we go with the extra mid or is rest the best medicine for now? He's struggling with the responsibility of being the lone beacon of midfield hope.

Four free kicks at centre bounces in the second quarter gave the crows a huge kick start

We had a better structure today and really felt we played a more modern game. The midfield mix and setup was much, much better!!!
The problem was the umpires where not going to let Adelaide lose this.

Carlton #1 at scoring from stoppage coming into tonight with 5.3 (33) there to quarter time, and Adelaide kept them to two behinds after that.

Watched on TV
Yeah Cerra did some ok things. I guess he’s ok, but I’m sure I have overrated him or his lost his spark, speed and class. He use to side step and break a tackle. He doesn’t do that anymore.

Agree about Harry

Ainsworth…ball didn’t go near him, and we didn’t get near them in the 2 nd. Rain came down, and hard to judge anyone after that.

I’d like to see Jagga a small forward and cameos on ball. Byrne needs a rest. He’s still developing.

Thought Derka was a bit unco, but he also got crucified by umpires. Haynes was good, but this will be his last year.

Have to think about Lord. Is he a defensive mid like Hewett? We didn’t look faster without Hewett. We lack speed on every line.

We have taken the old saying if you can't mark the ball bring it to the ground to the next level where we simply can't mark the ball. Harry must have dropped 10 plus marks tonight.

We can't tackle
We can't hit targets by foot or hand

Florent Derkson Evans Young Cowan Boyd Carroll Ollie Hok are not AFL standard players
Byrne and Jagga are not AFL ready

Harry and McGovern can't mark
Ainsworth and Elijah have disappearing acts
Walsh can't cope with tag and doesn't touch the ball when Cripps is off.
Pitto needs to know his limitations
Cerra goes missing
Haynes is to old
Williams is slow and soft
Newman has missed to much football and could be finished
Kemp is useless and barely a VFL player.

It is still Cripps or bust.

Also Crows have been screwed over by bad umpiring decisions in the last 3 games. They got paid back and some tonight.

It would have been nice to win the 2nd half but alas it wasn't to be.

We are a poorly skilled side that lacks pace but despite this they bust their arse

Harry is hard done by umpires week in week out.

Umpires have to start paying him his frees…chopped arms, hands over shoulder…..

Are you sure that none of the four free kicks were there?

I didn’t mean that, but sounds that way.

I thought three were not there, and I’m basing that on umpires not paying similar or worse.

Umpires missed so many holding frees to Carlton…lacke$ balance, fairness, that’s all.

We didn’t lose game because of umpires, w hereas previous 2 weeks I think the umpires broke us and cost us.

I admire Harry's persistence tonight but he drives me crazy how often he goes to ground.

He gets the ball to ground but he ends up there with it.

Cerra went missing for a big part of the night. Last week was his first game back after a long break & they say it's your second that can be the tough one, when you're sore. Maybe that was it. Nice goal in the first though when the crows defence went to sleep

I've knocked Harry lately but thought he was ok, even though he couldn't buy a mark.

Really saw how very dependant we are on Cripps and Weiters tonight, which is more than a tad concerning.

Shit that free against Haynes on the boundary in Q1 still has me buggered. Changed the momentum too.

I can agree with all that except Williams and I think when Pitto tired after quarter time and it impacted our mids, in particular Walsh’s game. Ball stopped going our way. I thought Cripps was expected to carry more of the load without Hewett. Cripps off ground in 2nd and Pitto losing dominance didn’t help Walsh.

I think you’re a good honest judge SB, so I may be wrong. Reflecting on your preseason opinions I have to say you were closest to the pin.

Maybe we played better tonight, and showed improvement and more heart but we really lack outside speed and class imo. We just can’t run ball from backline.

Yep.

And then sometimes seems to take forever to get back on his feet.
