Has there been a change in them or us?

Have we run out of legs, or hit a bad patch, or have the Cats stepped up a gear?

Stevens is running on the sidelines, wants to come back on. Just got a kick to the shins in play, nothing to worry about.

Goal to fisher :D

 You reckon we'll win the real flag if we bomb out in the NAB?

well CB .. maybe not!

Houlahan critical fumble, if we are to rely on him to give us drive in the midfield we are really going to struggle!

22 points down.

Comes down too real match winners - when things are scrappy and tight the Cats have had the finese too skip clear.

Mind you the rules committee must look at interpretions - shite. Both sides, a phsyical game.

28 point defeat - Kingsley 9

Thornton had a great game, I think 7 of the 9 goals were kicked against him :(

Anyone?

Importantly, did he confirm if the Family Day was off?

He did confirm it's off (said the whole ground is flooded) thats all I heard, though.

Like I said earlier. If we bomb out (which we did) in the NAB cup this year, hopefully that'll indicate at least a finals berth, hopefully going for (and therefore winning) the cup!

Not a shocker tonight, but not a great game. Lots of missed opportunity in front of goal, which could have had the opposite effect on the game.

Pretty shit game if you ask me. And the @#$%&! I hate umpires! So typical for them to be so inconsistant at critical times in the game, right in front of goal!
Good to see Setanta playing a reasonable game, can't wait to see more of him.
Walker is looking mighty fine!!

Kingsley killed us, with some help from the maggots.

Positives for me

Setanta looked great out there, competing, taking marks, chasing. he'll definitely make it

AB looked good too, not as slow as some make out, puts his head over the ball.

Walker is no longer a boy amongst men. These men have to compete with a monster who looks more like Kouta every year.

McLaren made a few great taps to advantage. Getting your hands on the ball in the ruck contest is one thing, putting it to your teamate's advantage is another. McLaren did that.

Skinny looked like the player of 2004, not 2005. He'll have a good year.

We didn't get blown out. Geelong are a good side. They made a lot of mistakes and turned the ball over a lot, uncharacteristic, but lets put it down to the pressure applied by our boys.

One thing concerned me...whats with the bandage's on MM's knees? :?

Good game by Lappin & Fish. Honourable mentions to McGrath & Carlos. Prenda tried hard and deserves a pat on the back but really shouldn't be in the seniors. Midfielders were non-effective. Murphy had a good debut. Blackers had a couple of classy moments. Hartlett was okay for the minimul amount of time he was on. McLaren nothing special. Fev was very good considering his lack of pre-season. Lance had a few good moments in defence but a hot opposition forward line might find him out. Tbird, Betts, Waite & Houla had nights to forget.

We still lack poise under pressure leading to ordinary skills & we still have the major yips in front of goal although Fisher is fairly reliable now.

Overall some promising signs from the newbies but it's gunna be a long season I feel.
