Not sure what more Hewitt and Wilson need to do to get a game. Flynn Young too. Anyway, let's see what happens. We're a chance. I won't tip us because we're mentally retarded, but we're a chance all the same

Pathetic from the troglodyte in chief coaching week to week instead of for the betterment of the club and player development.

Was hyped for this game until seeing the selections. Saints by 6 goals.

Lord dropped. @#$%&! me deadddddd.

Yeah nah. Too big & one-dimensional.

Can't say I'm over the moon with that squad

I would've held both Ollie & Harry back.

yeah that's what i thought. just yuck.

the lord decision is wild. cripps is broken down and on one leg, with one good hand. so lets drop lord, who is mobile and can actually extract.

so does this mean harry is backing up pittonet in the ruck? lord have mercy...

Baker and Higgins would carve Billy up . He'l get his chance . Bringing Saad in is a good move . And Marvel is a quick deck which will suit Saad's pace .

I know bondi predicted (wanted? ) a Pitto-Reidy pairing. I instinctively shudder at the thought, but I can see the logic: our last 3 games showed developing promise in terms of ball movement and playing 4Q, but were lost to brief periods of centre bounce capitulation, therefore having two big strong rucks will hopefully keep us competitive at 100% of centre bounces. Where I am a bit lost is why we dropped one midfielder without a replacement. Presumably Jagga will have more CBAs this week, but will we see someone else join the rotation - Sydney boys perhaps?

why is the MC so obsessed with height and no mobility? last week was the most dangerous we've looked across the ground but espesh upfront, bcos we were smaller and more mobile.

is this what cfc tanking actually looks like? i mean is that what we're doing?

Personally I don't understand all the bedwetting over the selections this week.
Yes I have been an advocate for Cripps being dropped but he won't be because if he was and we lose, Voss and coaching have pretty much stamped their papers with the Carlton hierarchy and supporters. I refer to the outrage of dropping Hewett.
As for developing players like Lord or Wilson or rewarding good from in the VFL.
Selections are not made on good form solely, first and foremost they are made to match the opposition and win games.
I like Lord but he didn't do much last week, not like previous games anyway.
It's only round 8, so we can't put the cue in the rack yet and go down the development path at the cost of trying to win games.

My read on the selections is this:
Young out for Pitto, good for our rucks not sure about defensive matchups and mobility though. But I'd rather actual rucks go against their rucks, we were smashed last week in the ruck.
Moir out for Harry, better for the forward line because at least Harry will compete, he just needs to kick better or at least get the ball to the ground, hopefully the knock to the head has done something.
Byrne for Ollie, Byrne needs a rest, I'm guessing as Bondi has said, Ainsworth will go to forward pocket, Cotts to HF and Ollie on the wing. I'm not sure I like it but let's see how it goes.
Lord for Saad, I see this change as Saad into the backline and Williams put on ball to tag NWM. I can't say I hate it.

On paper this all looks like upgrades to last weeks team IMO.
