some opposition supporters told me they thought it was great.

But, hey, I suppose they wouldn't think that if we were at the top again.

The first time i seen the ad i was like pretty mediocre, then i seen some of the others and realised it aint that bad and some thought had been put in to our campaign.

I think rather than rallying the faithfull, this ad is attempting to differentiate us as a 'product/brand' from the other clubs to entice new supporters rather established supporters.

Only guessing though.

How many seasons do we have to spend at the bottom before some September action is considered 'something new'????

Poor St Kilda has used the same one for the past 3 years.
Apparently it's the last known footage of Aaron Hamill running.

Shits all over Geelongs. What with Gary Ablett sticking his chest out, trying to act all tough.

The Saints one where they're all doing good deeds around St Kilda…

On the subject of footballers in cars, did anybody else hear SEN the other night. They interviewed Phil Matera via telephone about the eagles chances this year etc. Part way through a conversation Matera says:

"hang on a minute guys I might have to cut you off here, I'm talking to you from my car and I might have to get out and leg it!!"

or words to that effect. Absolute crack up at the time!!! Dont know how that would go down with the eagles but it showed the guy had a sense of humour!!

Does it inspire you in any way Synbad or does it simply provide you with another opportunity to rally the TC troops to take a swipe at the club?

Would you have preferred they spend big $ on a satchi style media drive? Perhaps then you could have slagged the club for wasting scarce resources on advertising.

At some stage perhaps you'll shed some positive light on how the club is portraying itself!
