Who gives a flying rats arse anyway..

Last year we won 4 games in the wizard cup in Feb/March and then only won 4 games for the rest of the year.....

ITS ONLY MARCH... IT DOESN'T MATTER.....

Who would get excited about playing in 30 degree heat and then have to travel to Alice Springs to play next week in another game in the heat..

Best of to save all your energy for rd 1.. that's when it counts.

Yeah, Adam Bentick did ok, got a bit of the pill in the 2nd half. Whitnall propably our best player I think. Stevens didn't do much at all, Murphy will get better and Fevola will take a while to get 100% fit.

Walker was moved more towards the middle in the 2nd half which was better to see and i hope we can experiment with him playing there in the next couple of practice matches.

A couple of young kids like Bower could be alright for us in the future. So many errors.

Some of the young kids will be a lot better than what they proiduced today. I think players like Fisher and Simpson will be good this year as well as Jarrad Waite although he wasn't much chop at all today.

Some of the kids over 21 now though need to take a step forward as it was @#$%&! disgraceful much of the football on display today.

Playing completely below ourselves. Players like Stevens are really taking a step basck in their own careers and are moving backwards as players and playing below themselves because of the team they're playing for....

It really hurts me to say that, but it's true. Where is the Walker of 2004.... he has gone backwards since then... to make him play as a defending tagger and the way he is being used is terrible for his confidence.

Please, anyone else who went to the game. Give me some positives to look at! Lets just let this one through to the keeper and hope it doesn't happen again.

This is taking forever!!!! When the @#$%&! are we going to get better... It seems like we are completely doomed and Synbad looks extremely @#$%&! right when he says we should tank for draft picks!

The thing is, we don't need to tank! That is where we are at!!

The positive however is, it was a practice game.....???? I bloody hope so!!!

It doesn't completely get you excited about the season. I'm buying a membership but not for my enjoyment, to help the club. That's the only reason !!! Why would I in my right mind buy a membership??!!

Only to help the club! Which is what i'll do..... :x

Went to the game today, agree that its only a practice match.
But the worrying thing is there were absolutely no positives..
anyone that tries to come up with anything is kidding themselves.

Lance is the only defender that knows what their doing.
Stevens the only midfielder.

damn they looked poor out there

That's the attitude to have bosman... and either you're being logical because yes it is only a practice match or you are going through the motions and telling yourself positive things.

I'm thinking it's the latter but I hope you are right!

Very disappointed with today's game, because I paid up early and I didn't even get a @#$%&! magnetic fixture!

If it was rd 1 and we got thrashed last that, then be concerned, but on the 4th of March, who cares really..

Look, Port got thrashed last week and copped heaps in the Adelaide press, so Port came out today to prove a point.

Its a practice match, all it took was for 1 team not to care and 1 team that took it seriously.

Well that's true but satill a better effort should be expected from the boys next week!

Didn't we spank Port by a similar margin in one of these matches a couple of years ago?
If it happens again round 1, then it's time to be concerned.

Players have no confidence..........no talk, no sheperding, no work ethic

Playing Lance as a loose man will not work. It allowed Brogan to play loose and we kicked it long to him a lot of the time. When we tried to finesse the ball, our skills weren't good enough/players didn't have the confidence and it resulted in us overusing the ball

Sick of seeing Walker played down back - actually has speed which would be better used on the wing.

Yeah it was disappointing to watch but you've got to be kidding if you thought the boys were putting in a fair dinkum crack today.

Positions constantly shifted, blokes playing roles they shouldn't have been, blokes in the side that shouldn't have been.

Fevola and Waite, probably the two least fit people on the field were never sighted panting. Meanwhile Port's boys were a bit tired halfway through the last.

Looks like the Blues understand the ramifications of the kick-out changes and are conserving as much energy as possible. Solid reminder for us all about how stupid watching pre-season for team assessment can be.

What I saw from individuals who had question marks over them today, whether their efforts were good or bad I was satisfied that what I had got out of the game was what I (and Denis as well I presume) had come to see.
