I am disgusted in those Carlton supporters who called 3AW after a loss in a practice match and basically demonstrated just how much a mess we really are. I mean its a practice match who bothers so why cause such a ruckus lower your self to TONY SHAW you fooooooools

Tony and Clinton milked it for what its worth and you morons got sucked in and embarrassed the club. I do thank those who did say they still support the club but that idiot who said he wants a refund onhis membership lower your head in shame.

The bulldogs went down by 74 against the tigers did they even mentoin it no they didn't but our stupid supporters ring up and back there comments after a practice match yes a PRACTICE MATCH

Two years ago we beat Sydney in Sydney by about 110 points in the Wizzer Cup.

Within the next few years they had won a premiership.

Not saying we are anywhere near the flag but it gives a bit of perspective to the whole fiasco. No-one likes losing but let's save the vitriol and hysteria for the season proper....

As the character played by Rowan Atkinson in "Bernard & the Genie said: that is a bastard of a good point.

Look for positive comparisons by all means but this one doesn't apply. The Swans were a reserves side on that occasion while we were almost full strength. Today, Port were probably more understrength than we were.

The concern is over who we have left to bring into the side. Kennedy will be there very early in the season, so having him, Murphy and Hartlett will hopefully rub off on the others with the enthusiasm they will no doubt bring.

Just trying to point out that praccy match results are all over the shop.

My view is that we will start off shaky this year and improve gradually as things progress thru the year - that's my hope anyway.

Ponky, that is dissapointing, there is certainly no room here for common sense at this time of year. :P

yeah, we beat a lackluster Sydney with half a dozen senior players in the squad!

Port thumped an almost fully fit carlton!

Practice match or not - show some god damn balls!

I will not let this be another year of Carlton rewarding mediocity! I just will not let it happen! Somebody is to be held accountable, and the buck stops with Denis (because god knows he's being paid enough bucks anyway!)

Ian Collins & Denis Pagen will come under fire this year unless a different Carlton ON-FIELD & OFF-FIELD is presented!

I'm not asking for us to win 15+games and a finals berth - i'm asking for some passion & determination.
An aggresive team that will give their all yet only win 1 game will impress me far more than a team that only puts in 50% and wins 10!

Why in the world would any Carlton "supporter" feed the Public, (let alone a Wobbles Icon like Tony Shaw), this sort of fuel!!?? Others love watching our pain.......For Christ sake, get these people some anger management please.

listen to your uncle John....... Tony Shaw was having a field day paying out on us and what gets me is that the bulldogs got done by 73 and nothing is said.

Please do not ring any radio stations until 4-5 games into THE REAL STUFF The Carlton Football Club does not need this kinda shit over a practice match

It was only a practice match in 31 deg. heat. Let's worry about that when the real stuff starts. I'm sure it will be a lot better then.

It was only a practice game but if the club were gonna treat it like they did they shouldn't have asked fans to come out for it and promoted the day like they did.

Its a fair point....you want members to sign up you have to give them some hope...not all are footy tragics and understand the process of developing youth, drafts etc...the average punter wants a contest every week..50/50 chance of winning...they see a contest they go home happy..we didnt give them that...just another belting...
