If you were there did you see how many times we reacted to the switch instead of having a structure in place for it????

Were a million miles behind.

Pre-season.

Pre-season.

Pre-season.

The biggest issue seemed to be a confusion about player's roles for the switch, Lappo seemed to think he was in charge of the kick up the wing rather than the leading option for it. I was watching dude.

what youre saying is all is perfect tactically...

and because its pre season youre not worried because in your mind were that good that we can switch it on and off right????

yeah i was watching too dude!!!

We were all over the place and no structures in place before the play...if the player ran right.. everybody then reacted and went right... if he went left .. the mass of players went that way... but he couldnt switch with a player ready to take the ball in a set play and provide a linkage to the next play .

so how would that go in a game.. when you have an opposition coach with his assistants coaching against you.. and countering what you do???

Ill tell you how!!!..l he would chop it off with a line of his players across and then take the ball away...

yeah yeah i know its pre season!!!... alls well!!!

I honestly don't know what you're referring to and I'm not going to break down our team's plays from kickouts just to satisfy you.

If the current tactics are worthless, let than be shown in games, when the players aren't fumbling and taking the wrong option. I'm sure the coaching staff will tinker if they deem the strategy to be incorrect.

If they aren't following the play and just dottering around in packs yeah they're going to get burnt.

But what Pagan is planning seems to be the right move and a good move. The cattle just need to get with the program.

As for the games so far all I said in my reports on Saturday against Port was that we weren't taking the game seriously after quarter time, whether this was due to the players falling in a heap or Denis pulling up stops after some fiddling with the ball (maybe the weather and follow-up events played a role too), I don't know.

All signs point to us being competitive if the players keep their cool on field.

Saying we need to tear down three years of hard work by DP and the board because it's not fast enough for you is annoying to say the least.

But were not tearing anything down. Denis is tearing down all the hard work he has put into the game plan in the last 3 years .. because now he has said to them... "you know everything weve been doing over the last three years???... Forget it!!!..were not playing the long game anymore.. because your bodies are too young for it... were going to a posession game .. like before i came....i dont really believe in this game plan.. but i have been told to change my style..."

You don't even know what they're doing for a fixed game-plan. From what I have seen in practise and when we move the ball cleanly. It appears to be an evolution of that original game plan.

Jimmae.. its not an evolution on what we were doing at all.. unless youre taking into account the fact that the source of any football game plan .. is there is this football and you have to kick it over the length of the ground....

Apart from that youre kidding yourself if you think what were trying to do today.. is along the same lines as what we were doing three years ago.. two years ago and even a year ago.

like i said ive been to 70% of training sessions over that time... ive been to most games,... and youre taking the mickey .

What youre saying is tactically were ok... and you would put our tactics up against anyone in the league.. because..... it looks ok to you at training???

Psssssssst.... there is no pressure at training and no opposition coach countering our no pressure circle work....

If you're referring to the practise games, I don't think what we're doing there is what we did in previous years nor do I think it is intended to pan out the way it does.

Bit of hard work still to be done yet - I have little doubt that they are working hard to gel as a group however.
