It is obvious that the realities of the AFL’s outrageous and brutal penalties are coming home to roost. Depriving our club of the only opportunity to access the one ingredient every club needs to remain competitive, the draft, was an irresponsible and vicious sanction that could quite possibly lead our club to extinction.

Obviously most here believe that the draft penalties were way over the top and designed to inflict fatal damage on our great club. Now, the reality of that damage is not as pretty as it was probably expected to for those two shitbags AD and Evans, now that we have a club about as competitive as Fitzroy was whilst on death row.

Financial sanctions aside, the draft penalties is the punishment that cuts deep and without the ability to improve on field it has meant that the rot of poor performance is able to destroy a club to the point of annihilation.

So you make sure you help us AD you piece of shit because you were derelict in your duty when you dealt with our penalties and misused the power given to you by your incumbents. As I protested at the time, we should have been sanctioned premiership points in 2003 as punishment but not have to face a penalty capable of wiping us out of existence.

And before anyone comes back with Wells and Goddard wouldn’t have helped us that much try adding McLean, Moloney or Bolton to that group and you have 4 quality footballers who could drastically add to the promise of a better future.

Ballistic, Collingwood, don't have their own website, they have the same re-warmed AFL tripe that we get.

Essendon* are the ones who went it alone.

Indeed.. but fair dinkum what will the AFL ask in return ?
Its not like they do anything for nothing...

So we suck cock forever...???
do we always vote alongside of them with the dogs Melbourne and Kangas?

Youd want to know exactly whats in store for us .. just so we can save some money.
I want to be in their good books... but if they really wanted to help us why take away the priority pick this year??? we were monties for it!!!
Why screw us for 3 years straight when we cant go to the MCG and we are signed on a ten year contract first with a whisper we will be helped with our training redevelopment..and now were being endorsed and were getting all these things and we dont have to do anything to get them... all because we were good boys.

One thing is for sure.. rule number 1 in life.... if it sounds too good to be true its because it is....!!!

Sounds like the board have done a terrific job .

But even if we save some money this board isnt capable of bringing in fresh money is it???Were on 19 million turnover and Collinwood are double.

Go out and bring some money in Italian Blues .. and stop wasting your time talking to us in here....

Now were getting encouragement statements from the AFL.... and the board are using that as a reference.

Look they wouldnt need references from the AFL if they went out and found us sponsors.

Tell me synbad, if you were a corporate, would you be investing in us at the minute??? I hardly think that we would be a good investment right now!!

What you mean with the way we cant put out anything positive?
We dont have a business plan that is obvious?
we dont have a face to the club?

of course not....

but if someone could sell me why i SHOULD put my hard earned corporate sponsorship $$$ somewhere .... im all ears...

But if you come to me and youre saying.. were going to cut the debt.. were not interested in anything else.. we want a team that will kind of be competitive., we wont be investing a heap of money in recruiting on player development cos we dont have it.. in short we cant offer you anything...and were not sure when we can offer you.. but hand over your cash!!!.. id say @#$%&! OFF!!!!! ...NOW!!!.. like everyone by the sounds of things is saying...

You can say.. look we havent got sa good list but we have some great kids. what were interested in doing is building a history with a company(ies) and we know it will take abit of time to improve but we will be recruiting the best kids in the country what were prepared to do is if you sign on for a longer period we will discount the first couple of years and make it up the last couple of years...!!!.and thats when you jump on board for the ride of your flower lives!!!!

Dude we 7 million in debt, poor facilties, bad list it all adds up, like Gerard Healy said tonight Collo has been in power for 3 years and has done a great job..... the club has had picks for one year so basically off field we 3 years advanced on field one and onfield success will bring us to a better position finacially

Collo had open bypass surgery 6 weeks later back as president i think that says a lot more than you can ever do

gerard loves Carlton...he cares!!!!

7 mill????... debt is nothing for a 30 million turn over company....

too bad were only a 19 million turn over company...

and im not questioning Collos courage or his willingness to stick it out...

Im wondering when were going to start making this club attractive to sponsors.

Do you think when collo tells the papers we have a 'z grade list'', sponsors will run to us???
Whatabout when we sign Fev tell everyone he is our face.. (That means you sponsors) and then tell everyone he is a nutcase and we dont want him???

Is that a good selling job do you reckon???

Oh but we cant get that right till we get the other things right eh??

Fev signed and he pledged his loyalty to Carlton and the board...... few weeks later some of us know what happened and he wanted out to the tigers

as for telling the world he have a Z grade list well even a blind and deaf man could work that one out our list is below par last year was the real rebuilding stage......

I agree would could do a little better marketing the club im sure they all doing there best, my brother is high up in the business world and he said no one will touch Carlton. The board do have a lot of work to do and they are i mean hearing the club has wiped 4 miilion off its debt and made 200k profit in ayear when we won 5 games is positive...... we need infeild success for things to turn around rapidly

How did we make a profit when the social club lost 1 million and the football club made 200k???

and does your high up brother talk on behalf of all the business world when he says that???

He has the final word or.. there might be one company in australia with a hole burning in its pocket for advertising somewhere in the biggest sport in the land with the biggest tv coveredge in the land...where the new tv rights translates to 800k per game?????

"The Spew" can go @#$%&! himself.

Having sent us to stand in the corner for 4 years, does he think we have served our time/penance and now are worthy of assistance.

He and the corrupt cauliflower on the AFL Commission knew that there was a NEWLY CONSTITUTED BOARD in place prior to Black Friday 2002. He and the corrupt cauliflower on the AFL Commission knew the financial blackhole that was left by the prior administration.

He and the corrupt cauliflower on the AFL Commission still chose to @#$%&! us right royally up the ARSE.

Having screwed up 1/16th of the AFL Franchise - the AFL has finally realised that its not Carlton's problem its the AFL's problem.

Only now that he has realised that a shit Carlton becomes a KPI of "The Spew's" performance as CEO of the AFL does he now want to do something about it.

Only now he realises if he doesn't provide 8 games to the new TV rights consortium every weekend then he is in breach of contract.

Give me a break "Spew" - you are a miserable piece of shit - you aint doing any favours to Carlton you only know about doing favours for yourself.

Hope to see you next Monday at the Cypriot Club for the reception of the Cypriot Commonwealth Games Team, I am going to pour a glass beer over your ugly fat head you filthy cauliflower!!!!!!!
