We go on TC - and get depressed when fellow posters point out how badly we are struggling at the moment
But it will end! Let's focus on that for a while. This season is probably going to bring its share of pain. And perhaps every single early draft pick we've had in the last 3 years won't become a gun. But we will taste the glory again - it might be 3 years, or 5, or 10...who knows? But it will happen. I was born into one of Carlton's most successful eras - in my first four years of primary school, we won three flags. I thought this was the way it was supposed to happen. But despite the sweetness of those flags, and others I have seen, NOTHING, repeat NOTHING, is going to be sweeter than the next one.
We are putting the plans in place. NO doubt the club is not getting everything right along the way. But we drafted the best available talent at the time over the last three years. We will probably get a very early pick again in the super draft this year. We went out and got the best coach available after we sacked Brittain. Has Denis with one "n" forgotten how to coach in the meantime? IMO, he hasn't had the cattle. But things will turn around, and boy, it's going to be sweet when they do.
